Project Iraq Crude Oil Export & Expansion Project

Client Leighton offshore Pvt. Ltd.

Location Middle East

Project description

The Crude Export Facility of Southern Iraq currently exports approximately 1.8 MMBOPD from the KAAOT and ABOT offshore terminals. The oil is transported from onshore facilities to the offshore terminals through two 48 inch export pipelines for ABOT and one 42 inch with two 32 inch pipelines for KAAOT. The KAAOT terminal has previously suffered damage and so the majority of the oil is exported through the ABOT terminal. The current export facilities and pipelines were built in the 1960s and 1970s and designed for a 20 year life, with the proper maintenance.

The MoO Master Plan 2007 has the objective of developing further offshore loading facilities to enable export capability of 4.5 MMBOPD (excluding exports from KAAOT) within 5 years. The 4.5 MMBOPD export capacity will be made up of 1.8 MMBOPD from ABOT and 2.7 MMBOPD from the new facilities. New facilities include Phase 1 (two 48” pipelines, 3rd pipeline shore approach section, a spur pipeline and three SPMs), Phase 2 (Control, Metering

& Manifold Platform) plus a future pipeline and SPM.

Phase 1 and Phase 2 together are targeted to achieve 1.8 MMBOPD.

Project Detailed Engineering Services of Subsea Pipeline and Onshore Receiving Facility (ORF) Project

Client PT Rekayasa EngineeringLocation Muara Karang, Jakarta Bay, Indonesia

Project descriptionPT. Nusantara Regas have buy Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) by the procurement of a LNG Floating Storage and Regasification Terminal (FSRT), LNG offloading facility, submarine gas pipeline and Onshore Receiving Facility (ORF) at receiving point in PLN Muara Karang power plant site.

PT. Nusantara Regas will be the main supplier of the gas, with PLN as the major user. The gas will be used as fuel for PLN’s Power Plant to fulfill the growing electricity demand for Java-Madura-Bali. The FSRT facility will provide a reliable, alternative and secure source of gas supply to fulfill gas requirement for Power Plants and Gas Distribution Grid in Jakarta and West Java. The gas will be supplied from the receiving point at Muara Karang.

The LNG Floating Terminal facilities comprise of:

Floating Storage and Regasification Facility (FSRU);

Subsea Pipeline;

Onshore Receiving Facility (ORF).

The LNG Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) will be permanently moored in 23m water depth, and will be located approximately 15km north of Muara Karang, in Jakarta Bay. The FSRU will accept LNG from LNG Carriers (LNGC) as required, and regasify the LNG via its onboard regasification plant, at a maximum continuous rate of 500MMscfd.

The gas will be transported back to shore via a 24” subsea gas pipeline, to an Onshore Receiving Facility (ORF),

where it will be metered and sold to the PLN power station and the PGN gas network

Project Crude oil export facility Reconstruction Project (Sealine Project)

Client Leighton offshore Pvt. Ltd.

Location Middle East

Project descriptionThe Project aims to establish the reliability of the existing pipeline system infrastructure among main terminals of onshore Fao Oil Storage Terminal (FOT), offshore Al Basrah Oil Terminal (ABOT) and offshore Khor Al Amaya Oil Terminal (KAOT). Single Point Mooring (SPM - 4) is installed to keep the same existing export volume during condition check of an existing pipeline. The pipeline system is to provide a safe, robust, reliable, durable and cost-effective means of transmitting Oil from FOT to ABOT, KAOT and SPM - 4 and capable of operating non-stop (24 hours per day) from the date of Preliminary Taking Over and as such will ensure safe operating conditions throughout the entire pipeline system and its environment.

The envisioned loading operation system required as early as possible for normal operation includes installation of a new 48” pipeline, two valve station platforms (VS1 at ABOT and VS2 at KAOT) and one SPM - 4 buoy. The 48” new pipeline is to be set up at the new valve station VS1 and branched to the existing ABOT Loading Platform-A and the new SPM - 4. Moreover, the 48” pipeline is to be branched to another new valve station platform VS2 to be installed at KAOT area so as to interconnect the existing ABOT loading platform to the KAOT
