As you move through the activity, she will earn virtual rewards as you take various steps to create your personalized site for nuts and magazines.

By clicking a link, they will be able to shop online while helping you reach your goals! Don’t forget to share with additional friends and family on social media with the help of a parent/guardian. 2019 Treats & Reads ProgramFamily Information Guide

What girls need to participate:• Be registered for the 2019–2020 membership year• Have a signed annual consent form on file with the troop• A paper nut and candy order card and money envelope• An understanding of product program safety guidelines

Participating onlineBeginning September 25, with parental supervision, girls can create their online storefront on the M2 online platform.

By setting up their online storefront, girls can:• create a Me2® avatar featuring their own virtual likeness.• enter email addresses to send the link for their online

storefront to family and friends.• create a personal message to send to customers via a video

or recorded message.• use social media (girls 12 and younger must use an adult

friend or family member’s social media account) to promote their participation in the program to friends and family and include a direct link to their online storefront.

Customers can purchase or renew magazine subscriptions and order nut and candy items. For nut and candy items, customers can choose to have the items directly shipped (additional shipping fees apply) OR to have the items delivered by the Girl Scout (no additional fee). Customers can also make a donation purchase of Honey Roasted Peanuts through the Care to Share program, which will be donated to the American Red Cross, CT chapter (no additional fee).

Online purchases are paid for via a customer’s credit card, including nut and candy items to be delivered by the Girl Scout.

Nut and candy order card sales Girls can take orders from family and friends on the order card through November 1. A parent/guardian can enter nut and candy order card items into the girl’s online storefront through November 1. Payment is collected when the product is ordered and promptly given to the troop volunteer.

Key Program Dates• September 25—M2 online platform

opens for girls and families AND paper order card sales begin. To get started with the online platform, follow the instructions on the reverse.

• November 1—Last day to take orders for nut and candy items to be delivered by the Girl Scout. This includes orders placed on the nut and candy order card AND girl delivery orders placed online. This is also the deadline for parents to enter paper order card orders into their Girl Scout’s online storefront. NOTE: DO NOT enter online girl delivery orders as these orders are already recorded in the Girl Scout’s record. This is also the last day for girls/parents to make reward selections on the online platform.

• November 10—Last day for online orders (magazines, Care to Share purchases, and nut and candy items for direct ship to the customer).

• Second week of December—Nut and candy items for girl delivery will be available to pick up from the troop.

• Mid-December/January—Girl rewards will be available to pick up from the troop. Contact the troop leader to confirm when rewards have arrived.

Girl RewardsGirls can earn the rewards shown on the nut and candy order card. Girls can log in to their online storefront to see which rewards they have earned AND to make their reward choices. Girls/families should make all reward choices no later than November 1.
