Italy

Italy is a country which is in the

south of Europe. Last years I visited two cities of this country: Venice and Rome. They

are fantastic cities, and I really

recommend visiting them.

RomeRome is the capital of Italy. There are a lot of famous monuments in this city, like the Colosseum, the Pantheon or the Trevi Fountain. This monuments are many years old, and they bring lots of tourists to Rome every year.

VeniceVenice is other of the most famous cities in Italy. It’s named “the Submerged City”, because there are lots of channels where a lot of boats called “gondolas” sail.

Italian foodSome famous italian foods are pizza, pasta and ice cream. That is one of the reasons why I like this country. There are many types of pizza, and people buy and eat it everywhere.

Italian ChristmasIn Christmas children receive presents from a witch called “Befana”. It’s like Santa Claus in other countries. In Venice, they prepare a gondolas parade to celebrate it.
