  • Research Methodology

The aim of this project is to develop a tool which will enable the Insurance or

Wealth Management Companies to offer to its customers various products. The

tool is basically aimed to enable the agents of such companies to demonstrate

various options and the outcome of various investments made by the customers.

The tool is made using Microsoft Excel and various investment options are shown

in it. The tool works when an investment option is selected, the amount to be

invested is entered, the term is entered and the rate of interest is given. Then it

will compute the Annual Premium payable by the customer and the Final Amount

he will get after the mentioned tenure.

We have taken an example of an investment amount for a particular tenure to be

invested in a variety of financial products. All these products have different rates

of interest. So, the final amount receivable by the customer will differ in each

investment type. So, at the click of a button, it will show the Final Amount a

customer will get in each investment type and a graph can be constructed to

show the outcomes from each investment type.

  • The above screenshot depicts a graph on the comparison of investments in

different investment instruments. It shows that upon investing a fixed amount for

a fixed tenure across all investment products, the returns vary as per the product.

The interest rate or the Rate of Return is different for each product depending on

its risk factor and that is the reason the returns vary. We can see the highest

reurn in Shares and the lowest in ULIP and Insurance (Long Term).
