There are lots of historical places nearby our school, such as the Tarihi Merkezefendi Köftecisi, a restaurant that has been

around for nearly 60 years and specializes in meatballs.

sponsored by UPS and businessman Haluk Ündeğer, who gave his name to our

Artichokes with Olive Oil

Ingredients:

6 artichokes1 carrot1 potato1 bowl of peas12 shallots2 lemons2 teaspoons sugar2 teaspoons salt1 cup olive oil 1/2 bunch dill

Preparation:Put artichokes in a saucepan, then squeeze the lemons on it. Cut the carrot and the potato into cubes, and add them on artichokes with peas and shallots. Add the sugar and the salt. Fill the saucepan with water. Boil it on a high heat. After boiling, reduce it and cook over low heat. Serve with chopped dills on it.
