P&C News 18 Nov 16

We are a beautiful community, and a wonderful team. Thank you.

The Spring Fair has been successful. How successful? I don’t know yet, as still waiting on the numbers. We want to thank everyone that did their part… selling/buying raffle tickets, picking up last minute vouchers/prizes, helping with ride passes, donating drinks, chocolate, tombola items, and cake stall items. You made a difference.

To those who came out on Friday, massive thank you. A few muscles will be sore after all of that. Can’t say thank you enough to those who braved the rain on Saturday morning to help put up marquees, get tables, and just generally get us set up.

Thank you to all of the teachers and staff for helping in preparation, and for spending one of their days off to help us raise money for our 3-6 playground. As if, you don’t already do enough! Thank you to everyone who helped throughout the day!

Special thank you to Drew and Geoff for marking our field, and to Mark for the early morning electricity set up in the rain. To Tina, who doesn’t even have a child at

Year 7 2017 Tomaree High School ATTENTION PARENTS: A Parent Information Night and interactive tour of Tomaree High School will be held on Monday 5 December from 5.30-7.00pm.

For your convenience, the office at Tomaree High School will remain open during the Parent Information Night/Social on Monday, December 5. This will give parents the opportunity to buy Year 7 book-packs which cost $47 and/or pay school fees and the Year 7 Camp deposit. Get in early and beat the rush!

Kindergarten in 2017 If you have a child who will be starting Kindergarten in 2017, it is most important that you complete your enrolment application as soon as possible. This will allow staff to schedule your Best Start assessment and prepare for your child’s arrival in 2017. Please note, children will not be able to start school without a completed enrolment application.

Kindergarten 2017 Orientation

Our 2017 Kindergarten students have been enjoying spending time at ‘big school’ for their orientation program. Thank you to our Year 6 students for filling in for our Year 5 Buddies while Year 5 are on their Sydney excursion on Thursday.

Next week we are holding a Parent Expo and a Teddy Bear Picnic.

The Parent Expo will provide information and answer any questions you may have about our school, starting school and services available.

There will be representatives from our school teaching and office staff, the Gan Gan Family Centre, Allied Health, our canteen and library, our school Chaplain, Lowes and the Smith Family.

Parent Expo: Tuesday 22 Nov 3.15-4.15pm.

Teddy Bear Picnic: Friday 25 Nov 12.30-2.30pm

Children should bring their favourite teddy, a drink and snack and wear comfortable sun smart clothing with enclosed shoes.

Please return your child’s enrolment forms and documents to our school office as soon as possible. If you have not yet registered your child for Kindergarten 2017, please contact our office on 49821187.

Cricket with Lilee On Sunday 30th of October Lillee B from 4/5L set off to Sydney to compete in the 2016 State carnival for the Girls Cricket Championships. She was se-lected for the hunter team. The carnival went from Monday 31st to Thursday 4th. All together Hunter played 8 games but they had a forfeit on Tuesday morning so they only played 7 games. They won 2 games, lost 4 and drew 1. Over all they played well. Lillee made a lot of new friends and hopefully she will see them again soon and Lillee is hoping to be selected again next year.
