ULTRA PORTABLE [PM55]

Comes standard with a smart carry case that has large pockets to hold all the accessoriesand is even designed so that the PM55 can be used while housed in it.

Based on the quality and huge range o applications, we are carrying the wired (PM55B) and

UHF wireless (PM55UHF) versions. Both versions eature an integrated wireless module withthe dierence beingthe PM55B comes with a wired mic, whereas the PM55UHF comeswith the UH101 wireless microphone. The PM55B can easily be converted to wireless withthe addition o the UH101.

PORTABLE PA[DOS12]

DOS12 is rated at a poultry 40 watts, yet it delivers 108dB at 1m, making it suitable or evenlarge halls or venues. The sound is delivered rom a 2-way, 8" speaker.

It comes standard with DVD, CD, USB and MP3 so all PC and traditional music sources arecovered. The board mixer can then combine the wired mic with the audio. I you'd like to usewireless mics, just slot in up to 2 UM401 wireless receivers.

For wireless sources including tablets (iPads) or smart phones (incl. iPhones): We haveintentionally made this unit easy to expand upon. The AUX inputs can be used with a BMR3XBluetooth stereo receiver. Just pair the BMR3X with your phone and you're good to go. Forwhen you don't have access to power: You can insert a lead acid battery, the PowersonicPS1270 battery is the best.

MULTICHANNEL [UHF401]

The UHF401 comes standard with the antennas,enclosure and 2 UHF modules, however it canbe readily expandable to a total o 16 channels!

AVOIDING THE 3 EVILSOF WIRELESS MICS BY MIKE SWANN

Q. So how do you successully use wireless mics?

A. Avoid the 3 evils o wireless mics!

1. Feedback

2. Intererence

3. Audio level and quality

1. FEEDBACK

Feedback is normally caused by the mic acing the active speakers, the noise can be loudand irritating; but can also be minimised.

With a wireless system, the presenter will be walking, so try to get the active speakersacing away rom the presenter at the ront o the stage.

The wireless receivers on this page eature squelch control. Higher squelch means lesseedback and lower range. We only recommend UHF wireless receivers, as they havemuch better range than VHF.

The type o mic is also important. A very omnidirectional mic will be versatile, but pick upnoise rom all angles. You want a happy compromise.

2. INTERFERENCE

Beore a presentation, be aware o requencies. For multi-channel systems, you might have

the choice o channels o 1 to 16. Leave some separation between them (1ch, 4ch, 7ch,10ch...) and test them beorehand to help avoid any nasty surprises.

The same rules o all antennas apply, keep the antenna high. No parallel metal suracesnear the antennas. Try to get it line o sight.

A couple more things are keeping the mic cable away rom the transmitter and turning ounnecessary electronics near the receiver.

3. AUDIO LEVEL AND QUALITY

I the presenter is using a wireless mic, get them to place it around about one clenchedst rom their mouth. Lapel mics can be a little tricky, making preparation all the more

important. Placement o the mic is criticalreer below:

Be aware, thetop part o thecollar aces awayrom the mouth,so place the mica little lower!

On a shirt orpolo, clip it tothe buttonedup part and thedirection will bepointing towardsthe mouth.

Also, be aware o the S and P words. They might cause PoPPing SoundS. To overcomethis, o line the mic a little rom your mouth.

In higher noise environments, head mics are useul.
