Kia Ora Every-snow-bod y! (Again!) Today is a big old reminder and helpers please letter! Here we go: Reminders: Tuesday 11th - School Athletics at the Gym Field Friday 14th - Teacher Only Day ... Please don't come to school :-) Thursday 20th - School Photos ... Full school uniform please. Now the Helper Part: We have planned an “Explorers Week” at the end of the term - Wednesday 3rd December to Friday 5th December (actually only three days). This is three days of exploring new and exciting learning oppor tunities in mixed age groups. Each teacher has chosen, and will run a fun programme for those three days around one of their own passions. Children will have the opportunity to choose an activity they are interested in. So far we have the following choices: Stacey - Will be making a large school mural. This is suitable for all age s. Miss Webb and Cody - Will be doing golf, learning skills and hopefully building a mini put course behind the stumps. This is suitable for all ages. Mrs Corbett - Is exploring the local outdoors in a range of activities. This is only suitable Years Five to Eight (Ideally she would like to do the Tongariro Crossing with this group but she requires quite a lot of adult support). There will be a small cost to students involved, and have behaviour and gear require ments. Mrs Donaldson - Water, Water, Water - water safety awareness. This is suitabl e for all ages. Mrs Bell - Christmas crafts, Tennis and Swimming. This is suitable for all ages. Kerry - Gardening around the school and a special picnic. This is suitable for all ages. What we are asking now is if you would like to be involved in one of two ways: Be a helper to one of the teachers, in particular Mrs Corbett’s option. Not organise anything just be there to support.
