Hey Key Club!
I hope you all are as excited as I am for the new service year! This service year, I hope to show the new Freshmen of the next school year how amazing Key Club and service are, inspire all of the Sophomores and Juniors to be involved (not just talking about the club level, maybe even the district level cough cough), and end all of the seniors’ last year of Key Club with a blast!
I promise that this Key Club is in the good hands of the new offic-ers and that we will all work our hardest to make your year full of fun and service. Now, it’s time for the first ever newsletter of our new editor, Samuel Wu!

Once again, Key Clubbers all around New Jersey gathered at the
Ocean Place Resort & Spa for the 67th Annual Key Club District
Convention from April 5th to April 7th. Full of laughter, enthusi-
asm, and even some heartfelt moments, memories that will last
a lifetime were made during this weekend.

2013-2014 District Project
I’m happy to announce that we will be continuing to support
the Eliminate Project for the 2013-2014 service year! Organized
jointly by Kiwanis and Unicef, the Eliminate Project’s goal is to elimi-
nate Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus (MNT) around the world.
MNT is caused when tetanus spores, found in soil, enter the
body through open cuts during childbirth. MNT kills both mothers
and their newborns. Babies suffer from painful convulsions and sen-
sitivity to light and touch. However, MNT can be easily prevented
with vaccinations. It only takes $1.80 for one to become immunized,
and for you to save a life!

March for Babies is a
charity walk hosted by
March of Dimes, an or-
ganization that works to-
wards healthy pregnan-
cies. March for Babies
will be held on Sunday, April 28th at Fairleigh Dickinson Uni-
versity. Registration will start at 8:00 a.m. and the walk will start
at 9:00 a.m. Join members of the Kiwanis Club of Greater
Parsippany and schools from our division in a walk around the
beautiful campuses of FDU and the College of Saint Elizabeth
while supporting a great cause!
From April 22—May 3rd, we will be col-
lecting money for Brandon Tashi, a stu-
dent at Littleton School in Parsippany, who
was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic
Leukemia. We need volunteers to bring in
coffee cans and to help collect money.
Please sign up at the next general meeting!
