Mount Sinai Mount Sinai is the traditional site where Elohim revealed Himself to Moses and wrote the 10 commandments on two tablets of stone. At the base of this mountain Elohim called Israel (a people who had just been miraculously delivered from bondage in Egypt) to be a consecrated nation set apart to serve the LORD.

Sinai Peninsula

The wilderness of the Sinai Peninsula was a barren and desolate land. In this land Elohim miraculously sustained the nation of Israel for 40 years after their deliverance from the harsh taskmasters of Egypt.

On mainland Greece, Corinth was the main center of worship of Aphrodite (Roman: Venus) goddess of … love and beauty. On his second missionary journey the Apostle Paul spent 11/2 years preaching the Gospel at Corinth.

Israel: Cana of Galilee, site of Yahshuah' first miracleTraditional site of Cana of Galilee (Kefr Kenna), four miles northeast of Nazareth. It was Nathaniel's birthplace and the site of Yahshuah' first miracle where He turned water into wine at a wedding feast.



Israel: Capernaum, Synagogue at, Jewish (outside)The Synagogue at Capernaum (Kefar Nahum) which dates from the 2 nd-3 rd century AD. Beneath its foundation may be the synagogue (in which Yahshuah taught) dating from the time of Messiah . Capernaum is located on the northwest shore of the Sea of Galilee. At Capernaum, Yahshuah performed many of his miracles and chose his disciples; Peter, Andrew and Matthew.

Israel: Dead Sea, view from MasadaThe Dead Sea (Salt Sea) as seen from Masada. The Dead Sea is a landlocked salt lake between Israel and Jordan. It is the lowest body of water on earth at 1,312 feet below sea level. Because of the high salt content, nothing lives in or around the sea. Sodom and Gomorrah lie submerged beneath the southern end of the sea.

Israel: Jordan RiverThe Jordan River has its headwaters in Lebanon and the southeastern slopes of Mount Hermon. It flows south through the Sea of Galilee and finally drains into the Dead Sea at 1,312 feet below sea level. It was in the Jordan River that Yahshuah was baptized by John the Baptist.

Tel Aviv-Jaffa Marinas and high-rises reflect the present day prosperity of Israel's Tel Aviv-Jaffa on the Mediterranean coast. Today it is Israel's major business and cultural center. Jaffa has a long history, but Tel Aviv is a comparatively new city founded in 1909. In Old Testament times, David and Solomon occupied Jaffa and used it as a port to receive timber from Lebanon.

Israel: Galilee, Sea of, the miracle of the loaves & fishFrom only five loaves of bread and two fish Yahshuah fed 5,000 men plus women and children by the shore of the Sea of Galilee. They all ate till they were filled and afterward Yahshuah' disciples collected 12 baskets full of fragments. The Sea of Galilee (Tiberias) is a lake in northern Israel through which the Jordan River flows. Many episodes in the life of Messiahtook place on or around this historic lake.

Yerusalem: Dead Sea Scrolls display at the Shrine of the BookThe Shrine of the Book at the Israel Museum (Museon Yisrael) in Yerusalem houses the Dead Sea Scrolls that were found by a young Bedouin shepherd in a cave of Qumran in 1947. These scrolls have helped scholars push back substantially the date of the earliest known Hebrew Old Testament manuscripts.

Yerusalem: cemetery on Mt. of Olives overlooking YerusalemA Jewish cemetery on the Mount of Olives overlooking the Kidron valley and Yerusalem. The Dome of the Rock or Mosque of Omar (the golden dome in the top center of the picture) is built on the ancient Temple Mount where Solomon's Temple once stood. The gate in the wall just to the right of the Dome is the Golden or Eastern Gate. Yahshuah' feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives again when he returns at his second coming.
