FEATURES• SAFETY: possibility to carry out the whole experiment without

opening the cage:

- opening for bag-in/bag-out waste tray changing;

- external refilling for food and water;

- transfer system to move the animal under a biocontainment

cabinet for procedures (e.g. take blood sample).

• SIZE: floor area is 4900 cm2 and internal height is 500 mm

(compliant with guidelines).

CONTAINMENTISOXL works just in negative pressure to guarantee BSL3/BSL4 containment.

Containment is guaranteed by:• 2 ULPA filters, INLET and OUTLET.• 1 HEPA filter on the pressure device.• 1 PALL filter 0.2 μm on the watering system.• 1 PRE-FILTER on the outlet.

Containment is guaranteed also by:

• Airtight replaceable silicon gasket on the main door and on the door for the removable tray.

• Airtight silicon gasket on the opening of the transfer box.

It is provided with valves to give the opportunity of anaesthetizing the animal inside without

touching it (safe handling of the animal for procedures).

It does not allow you disconnecting the TB both if the cage door and the transfer box door is open: SAFETY

SAFETY: pulling deviceThis device is designed to push gently the animal into the

transfer box.

PROCEDURE:

1. Rotating the worm screw on the side of the cage, the operator

makes a S/S panel slide towards the opposite wall.

2. In the meantime, the transfer box is opened by the operator

and the ferret is guided to move into it by the sliding panel.

3. When the transfer box is closed, the gap between the tranfer

box and the cage is disinfected by a spray disinfectant.
