Acrolab Ltd.

Acrolab’s Isoplaten (“The Intuitive Platen”) redistributes the energy generated by
standard cartridge heaters to give molders rapid thermal recovery and unparalleled
and linear temperature distribution along the whole platen surface. Your tools
operate with reduced energy demands, produce better quality molded parts and
allow you to use faster curing compounds with narrower thermal processing
windows.
• Uniformly Cure Parts Resulting In Better Quality
• Reduce cycle time
• Reduce Thermal Energy Required From Heaters
• Energy Cost Savings
• Save On Time
• Evenly Heat Thermal Sensitive Parts
• Eliminate Hot Spots
• Reduce Scrap

üThermographic analysis of two 24” X 24”platens at steady state one is the traditional electrically heated platen the other, an Isoplaten®. This study examines the effect of having one heater fail in each platen; examining the resultant thermal impact on the surface of the platen.

Isoplatens® - “Thermally Intuitive”

üWhen employed as a matrix, the Isobars®sense any location on the platen surface that is either deficient of heat energy or has a surplus of heat energy.

üA matrix of two-phase evacuated heat exchangers [Isobars®] function as a “core” continuously achieving a thermal equilibrium or an isothermal condition.

üBecause Isobars® core capability is to achieve a thermal equilibrium, the matrix is therefore also achieving a thermal equilibrium.ü The matrix is embedded throughout the

Isoplaten®.

üThe temperature is continuously adjusted by the matrix of Isobars.

üOur clients benefit from the use of Isoplatens®.

üThese thermally intuitive, single zone press platens provide our clients with near isothermal conditions on the platen faces while reacting intuitively to transient thermal sinks as they appear on the platen surface.
