SI 13.05.2013 Isola Polymer Roofing Shingle Tyri Polymer bitumen shingles for pitch roofs Isola Roofing Shingles are produced from thermoplastic polymer bitumen with a reinforcement of glass fiber. It is produced in 6 different patterns and many colors. The glass fiber is coated with layers of bitumen on both sides. The back side is coated with water repellent sand on the bottom part and with a PE foil on the upper side. The top side is protected with colored mineral granules. Unique connected adhesive areas on the top side provide an immediate and enduring secure adhesion of the tabs. Isola Roofing Shingles can be used on pitched roofs for new and renovated roofs. On new constructions it can be mounted down to a 15° angle. In harsh environments, and in angels between 15° - 18° a under layer shall be used. Isola Isokraft is recommended. Isola Schalungsbahn Xtra can be considered used in less harsh environments. The roof angle shall be more than 18° when Isola Roofing Shingels are used on top of existing Shigels. Isola Roofing Shingles can be laid directly on solid surface like OSB, playwood or wooden boards.shingles can be installed only on cold or ventilated roof construction. Mixing shingles with different production date can provide "colour" difference. Adhesive fields are activated to the temperature down to 5°C. for more information please see laying instruction.
