Now comes the most exciting time - all the planning and organising - and we will help you to

get it just right!

Here at Rufford Mill, we will work closely with you to create your perfect day. We have an amazing

experienced team to help you with all the details so you can have the most magical & memorable day!

Located in the beautiful, rural surroundings of Rufford Abbey Country Park, the Rufford Mill is the ideal venue for your special day. The park offers stunning photographic opportunities with the grounds, woodlands, formal gardens and of course in front of the stunning Abbey.

The Talbot Suite - A beautiful canvas for any wedding or civil ceremony. Located on the first floor of the Rufford Mill , the venue will accommodate up to 80 day guests for a banquet style dinner, 150 guests for just a ceremony and 150 guests for an evening reception.

The Markham Suite - An additional function room on the ground floor of Rufford Mill offers you a secondary area where you and your guests can retreat to during the day. This space will allow you to accommodate an extra 100 guests during the evening of your day.

To compliment your day we have a wide range of menu choices and drinks packages to suit all tastes and budgets.

Our wedding team will be happy to build a bespoke package for you or take advantage of our fixed price packages. All tastes and dietary requirements can be catered for, please discuss with your wedding coordinator.

Our Chefs produce fresh dishes daily all made here on site. We can offer set menu wedding breakfasts, carvery menus, afternoon tea, an assortment of hot and cold buffet evening menus, stone fired pizza buffets, traditional sweetie carts and trips to the on-site ice cream parlour.

We will continue to host only one wedding a day so that our only focus will be on making sure your day is perfect.

At the heart of the park are the picturesque remains of Rufford Abbey,

which are surrounded by parkland, woodland, formal gardens and a lake.

You are invited to take full advantage of the beautiful photo opportunities that

surround Rufford Abbey and Rufford Mill.

• Ceremonies are available at 4.30 pm all year round, and on Saturdays at 6.00 pm (May to September)

• 50 guests - A Pimms reception drink served with strawberries, cucumber & mint.

• 50 guests - Traditional afternoon tea served to the table (See menu insert).

• 50 guests - Two glasses of wine per guest to accompany the wedding breakfast (choice of red, white and rose).

• 50 guests - A glass of sparkling wine to toast for each guest.

• 90 guests - Evening reception with pulled pork rolls with sage & onion stuffing, crackling & apple sauce. Served with potato wedges.

• The service of our dedicated host to ensure your day runs smoothly.

• 60 guests - Two glasses of wine per guest to accompany the wedding breakfast (choice of red, white and rose).

• 60 guests - Champagne to toast the bride and groom.

• 100 guests - Evening reception with finger buffet Honour (see menu inserts).

• 3 course Anniversary meal for up to 8 guests in our Lord Savile’s Kitchen here at Rufford.

Planning our wedding was a dream, the team couldn’t do enough to accommodate our every need. The venue was

beautiful, the food even better and the hospitality was just 10/10! The day was better than we could have ever

had so many messages from friends and family telling us what an amazing time they had, and how

We are so thankful that we chose Rufford Mill to get married at, I doubt so much that anywhere else

18 months before the big day• Set a wedding budget.

• Visit our venue and talk over your wedding day dream plans with our knowledgeable wedding planners.

• Confirm your wedding date here at Rufford Mill.

• Once you have “saved the date” with us, you should also contact The North Registration Team on 01158 042994 to ensure their availability on your chosen day.

• Send “save the date” notifications with date, venue and times to your guests.

12 months before the big day• Draft a guest list.

• Think about your theme & colours.

• Contact us here at Rufford Mill to ask any questions you may have to help plan your day.

• Start to make appointments to try on wedding dresses.

• Book your photographer.

1 month before the big day• Arrange for final dress fitting and rrange to pick

up your dress.

• Finalise any outstanding details with us.

• Start to lay out and pack your “wedding day” items.

2 days before• Check everyone in the wedding party knows

what responsibilities they have

• Treat yourself to a manicure, pedicure and a trip to the hairdressers.

On the day• Allow plenty of time to get ready.

• Enjoy yourself and relax!

10 months before the big day• Book your florist, entertainment & cake maker.

• Decide on “THE” dress!

• Confirm and book your honeymoon.

• Send out your invitations!

8 months before the big day• Order your shoes & accessories.

• Book accommodation for your wedding night and any rooms needed for out of town guests.

• Buy your wedding favours.

• Confirm your wedding centrepieces & decorations with your venue dresser.

6 months before the big day• Order Groom’s suit and wedding rings.

• Renew passports, if needed for your honeymoon!

• Arrange first dressing fitting.

4 months before the big day• Buy gifts for each other, your parents and

anyone else in the wedding party you would like to say thank you to.

• Choose your music for the ceremony

• Our wedding planner will contact you to arrange a date to meet and discuss your wedding day plans in detail.

3 months before your big day• Meet with our planner.

• Our planner will confirm in writing, all details, menus and timings etc.

• Create a shortlist of must take photographs and discuss with your photographer.

2 months before the big day• Finalise seating plan and pay your final bill.

• Start to wear your wedding shoes around the house and break them in!

• Confirm your first dance and other song choices with your DJ.

• Print your order of service.
