Feb. 2014 New Joint Library• The IIS and the ISMC agreed to establish one joint library instead of retaining the two separate libraries.

• Aim: merging aims to meet the Institutes’ teaching needs and cater to their academic programmes.

She was a leading German Islamist who published more than 50 books on Islamic literature, mysticism and

culture and translated Persian, Urdu, Arabic, Sindhi and Turkish poetry

Prof. Mohamed Arkoun’s, 1928-2010 Personal Archive

was an Algerian scholar and thinker. He was considered to have been one of the most influential secular

scholars in Islamic studies contributing to contemporary intellectual Islamic reform
