Benjamin A. Loomis The founder and President of Amble Resorts, Benjamin Loomis has two decades of experience in the architecture, construction, and real estate industries. Mr. Loomis graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Masters of Science in Real Estate Development and a Masters of Science in Architectural Studies. Immediately prior to starting Amble Resorts, he worked with InterCapital Partners, LLC, where he managed the development of over $200 million of residential and mixed-use projects spread over multiple geographic markets and product types. Prior to that, he worked as an architect in Chicago for Tigerman McCurry Architects and other fi rms, as well as in construction in his home state of Alabama.

Horst Schulze The Chairman and CEO of The West Paces Hotel Group, Horst Schulze is a legend and a leader in the service world. After joining The Ritz-Carlton Company as a charter member and VP of Operations in 1983, Mr. Schulze was instrumental in creating their operating and service standards that have become world famous. He was appointed EVP in 1987, President and COO in 1988, and then served as Vice Chairman from 2001-2002, ultimately becoming responsible for the $2 billion Ritz-Carlton operations worldwide. Under his leadership, Ritz-Carlton was continuously voted “best hotel company in the world.”

On the Waters of the GulfBoating Isla Palenque is part of an archipelago consisting of over three dozen islands and islets in a ten mile radius. Reserve a sailboat or catamaran from our marina and spend a day exploring each one, or loll between them just soaking up the majesty of it all.

Sport FishingExperience the unbelievable adrenaline rush that comes from hooking a marlin that can swim faster than the speed limit on U.S. highways. The Gulf of Chiriqui is known for its world class sport fi shing. Amazing deep water sites house huge tuna, marlin, swordfi sh, snapper and many more pelagic species.

Snorkel and Scuba DivingThe Gulf of Chiriqui has two huge marine parks, offering exceptional snorkeling and scuba diving opportunities and hosting more than 800 marine species in its waters, including humpback whales, sea turtles and giant schools of rays and fi sh.

Whale WatchingDolphins and whales migrate to the warm waters of the Gulf of Chiriqui to mate and breed each year. Watch 100 ton whales arch straight out of the water and acrobatic dolphins spin.

Surfi ng Just a boat ride away is Moro Negrito, an island devoted to surfi ng and surfi ng only. Enjoy the 20-foot swells on your own, or take a lesson from one of the instructors hanging loose.

On the MainlandVisit a Ngobe-Bugle VillageThe Ngobe-Bugle is Panama’s largest indigenous group. An artistic and colorful people, they still live and farm the way they did hundreds of years ago.

Mountain Coffee Plantation TourHigh in the cloud forests near the village of Boquete are coffee plantations producing several varieties of rich and coveted beans. Take a tour to see the red berries ripen and experience exotic samples with undertones of jasmine or chocolate.

Explore the HighlandsHike or horseback ride the breathtaking fl ower fi lled canyons at the foot of the extinct Volcan Baru. If the gentle trot is not for you, rent a roarin’ ATV to traverse hillsides and rocky crags.
