Sin’s Effect

"But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light."

We are then called to a life of holiness!

Rom. 12:1 - "I urge you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship."

How do we remain Holy?

• 1st John 1:7 - "If we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus His son cleanses us from all sin.“

• 1:9 - "If we confess our sins He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

We must strive for holiness!

• It does make a difference how we live our daily lives.

• God does take note of our sins.• He expects us to exercise self control.
