The Shamrock, a three leaf plant similar to a Clover, which is an unofficial symbol of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Shamrocks are said to bring good luck and also used as a badge for sports teams, state organizations, and troops abroad from Ireland. This flower is related to an Irish tale of St. Patrick, which tells of how Patrick used the three-leafed shamrock to explain the Trinity. His followers adopted the custom of wearing a Shamrock on his feast day.

Ireland is famous for the beauty of its natural landscape, but there’s much more to Ireland than green fields. If you’re planning a vacation in Ireland, make time to take in some of the island’s natural attractions, which range from its rugged coastline to its lakes, rivers and mountains. Some, such as the Giant’s Causeway, are less than a two-hour drive from major cities.

A major warm current called the North Atlantic Drift keeps seawater temperatures mild to. Hills and Mountains, mainly around the coast, shelter the rest of the Island from strong winds coming off the Ocean. So while the weather can be changeable -

it’s rarely extreme.
