Following the success of the historic CAPA Iran Aviation Summit in January 2016, CAPA has been invited back by Iran’s aviation authorities to hold a follow-up event to move beyond introductions to enabling business. This unique 3 day event - combining an aviation finance summit, trade expo and air show - will bring together all of the key decision-makers to identify solutions to facilitate transactions in Iran’s aircraft and aviation infrastructure sectors. Over 20 years, the responses of Europe’s big three legacy groups to the short/medium haul LCC revolution have all been through phases of denial, submission, retreat, and counter-attack. Now all three now have a more clearly defined LCC strategy than in the past.

CASK: Europe’s Full Service Airlines have the world’s highest costs, US airlines the lowest
In the Americas there is a narrower CASK gap between FSCs and LCCs than elsewhere. This has created an opening for the development of the region’s ultra-LCCs, particularly in the US. Europe is, on average, home to the highest cost FSCs in the world, in spite of some cost-efficient FSCs that are close to LCC territory.

Following the lifting of nuclear-related sanctions against Iran in Jan-2016 a potentially significant global aviation market was once again reopened to the world, after almost four decades of isolation. Iran has huge pent-up demand and potential after almost 40 years of isolation from the international community.
