distinguished standing by ABI, USA. She has done quite a few book reviews and has published 14
books, in addition to publishing 230 research/thematic articles in journals of National and
International standards and repute. She has guided several M.Ed & M.Phil besides guiding Ph.D.'s.
She has developed & standardized 50 research tools and has published 17 out of them
Learnings:
Dr. HaseenTaj,was second session speaker spoke on problem Identification & Formulation. Mam
elaborately explained basicdefinitions of research, purpose of review of previous research which
helps to identify gaps in the literature or for replication which formulates research problem.
Mam explained different types of sources which help in forming research problem. Existing theories,
social issues, brain storming sessions, folklores, field experience leads to identification of the
problems.
At the end mam concluded with different principle components in formulating the research problem.
Madam also involved in question and answer session end the talk asked by the participants through
chat box. Sheanswered questions asked audience by with lot of enthusiasm through her experience.
The programme was designed to enhance the research skills of the faculty. FDP intended to make
staff aware about modern research tools and methodologies. It provided an opportunity to acquire
knowledge about current technological developments in relevant field.
Overall it was a successful programme with lot of positive and commendable feedback from every
participant.

Dr. P Geetha, Associate Professor and Head in Department of Mathematics
at Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, Sathyamangalam, Tamilnadu,
India.She has more than two decades of teaching experience. She has authored
and co-authored 14 books .She has also been awarded as “Distinguished Leader
in the Discipline of Science” organized by the Centre for Leadership
Development- CLD of Venus International Foundation on 5 January 2019 at Le
Royal Meridien, Chennai.
Learnings:
Madam delivered her talk on “Use of software tools/ Techniques for research” .Madam highlighted
the use of Latex with hands on training and mentioned several software tools which are very much
useful in research.
LaTeX is widely used in academics, for the communication and publication of scientific documents
in many fields, including mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, chemistry, physics,
economics, linguistics, quantitative psychology, philosophy, and political science. It also has a
prominent role in the preparation and publication of books and articles that contain complex
multilingual materials.

Education, Computer Education, and Information and Communication Technology. He has taught
Business Research Methods and Quantitative Techniques in IIM, Indore from 2004 to 2008. He also
taught Business Research Methods in Indian Institutes of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi. He has
published extensively both in Indian and Foreign Journals of repute. After retirement, he has
conducted 180 workshops of seven to fifteen days on Research Methodology, Statistics and use of
SPSS all over India. He has given twelve Webinar Lectures on different topics. He has invented
Jerk Technology, Multiple Discriminant Type Items, Multiple Answers Type Items,
Educational Clinic, etc. Dr. Sansanwal was given best TEACHER EDUCATOR AWARD by ALL

Day-3 First session on “Interpretation of data & paper & writing” was presented by

He shared an inspiring tips with participants, that the work should be appropriate and
reasonable in presentation for the eager people waiting for the articles.
He also mentioned requisites for paper writing like data collection, check points and
data interpretations, Hypothesis, reasoning the data, reviewing the information,
originality and worthiness through references and paper should be genuine and with
clear explanation of the topic. Further he talked about the procedure of framing the
research question which should be direct and justifiable for this for collecting data one
should reach to the abstract source of the data by reading books articles journals etc….

Second session of the day-3 on “Project proposal, Paper publication, Thesis
report writing and IPR” was presented by Prof. G. Prasanthi, Director, Faculty
Development & IQAC, JNTUA, Anantapuram, Andhra Pradesh. Madam
presented her insights on structure of a research project i.e defining, planning
,executing, and delivering .She stated that whenever a report is formed it always
has a specific structure consisting of a cover page, ,content table of cases,
introduction literature review, statement of research problem, objectives,
hypothesis, data collection, data analysis, discussion, conclusion and finally
references. Finally madam stressed on rules and regulation of IPR , Patent and
industrial design which is final out put useful for mankind. Mentioned importance
of trademarks and geographical indication with suitable examples. Finally about
copyright protection and different online source with reference to IPR.

research scholars and faculty from various universities and colleges across the country.
