IoT Gateway includes a high-level of on-board processing power
SBC market share by installed base is largely dominated by Raspberry Pi (almost 70%). The Raspberry PI competitive landscape is extremely fragmented. However, Raspberry PI competitors will gain market shares from Raspberry PI. Players such as BeagleBoard and Odroid but also the role of Intel could be more significant in the future.
The microcontroller market is largely dominated by Arduino (71.4%). There are many other manufacturers, but the most relevant ones are: TI Launchpad, Picaxe, Wiring, Netduino, TinyDuino, DigiSpark, Parallax Propeller. The current balance Arduino/Others (71/29) will change in 2020 towards a 63/37 ratio.

• The component of 2G is declining
due to “sun setting” and LPWAN.• 4G is at the core of big
data IoTapplications waiting for 5G (VR/AR).• Different geographies
show different speeds of adoption.• eUICC and provisioning
management can drive the growth.

• An IoT Platform is an intelligent layer that connect the things to the network and abstract applications from the things in order to enable the development of services.
• We want all this because we want to achieve at least three main objectives:
• flexibility (being able to deploy things in different contexts),
• usability (being able to make the user experience easy),
• and productivity (enabling service creation in order to improve efficiency, but also enabling new service development)

• Solution providers and system integrators appear to be the most common go-to-market partnerships.
• Large developer community is highly desirable.
• The common approach is a mix of all of those – an ecosystem approach. Desirable, but difficult to manage.
