Geography
Location: The territory of the Argentine Republic is the second largest in South
America after Brazil, fourth in all of America and the eighth in extension of the Earth, if only the continental surface subject to effective sovereignty is considered. If the claimed territories in Antarctica and Malvinas are counted, it makes it the seventh largest country in the world.
It borders Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay. Its geography is very varied, being mostly plains in the east, mountainous areas in the center and mountains in the west. The country is crossed, in its western end, from north to south by the Andes mountain range. The highest peak in Argentina (and in the world, outside the Himalayas system) is Aconcagua, at 6,960.8 meters above sea level.
The Argentine territory under effective sovereignty has a great latitudinal development: 3779 kilometers between the extreme north and the extreme south, from La Quiaca to Ushuaia, which makes it one of the longest countries in the world.
Administrative division: Argentina is organized into 23 provinces and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. The provinces divide their territory into departments and these in turn are made up of municipalities, with the exception of the province of Buenos Aires, which only does so in municipalities called parties. The departments, in general, do not have administrative functions, although in the provinces of Mendoza, San Juan and La Rioja each department is a municipality. With the exception of the province of Buenos Aires and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, the other provinces have signed interprovincial integration treaties forming four regions: North-Great Argentine Region (Catamarca, Corrientes, Chaco,
Formosa, Jujuy, Misiones, Tu-cumán, Salta and Santiago del Estero), Nuevo Cuyo Region (La Rioja, Mendoza, San Juan and San Luis), Patagonian Region (Chubut, La Pampa, Neuquén, Río Ne-gro, Santa Cruz and Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica and South Atlantic Islands ) and RegiónCentro (Córdoba, Entre Ríos and Santa Fe)

Exports by province Argentine exports exceeded USD 65,115 million during 2019, which implied a growth of 5.39% compared to the previous year and 14.73% in the last five years.
Among our main trading partners are China, Brazil, United States, Vietnam, Chile, India, the EU, Indonesia, Algeria, among others.
Likewise, what we sell the most to the world are manufactures of agricultural origin, manufactures of industrial origin, primary products, and fuels and energy, in that order. The pattern of trade is closely linked to our vast natural resources and regional economies that drive productive development. We export products such as: soy pellets, corn, transport vehicles, soybeans, soybean oil, wheat, beef, gold, oil, crustaceans, wine, biodiesel, sunflower oil, medicines, hides and skins, legumes, peanuts , poultry meat, fruit juices, dairy, silver, apples, chemicals, fish, citrus, among many others. An economy more integrated to the world allows expanding the productive capacity of a country, generating more employment and improving productivity. Exports are of vital importance for a country, in addition to generating foreign exchange that will enable the importation of inputs and products that are not produced in the local economy, they allow to offset the fall in domestic demand due to the demand from other countries, hence the importance of their behavior .
For the following analysis, the provinces were grouped on the basis of the grouping criteria taken by the INDEC. The “undetermined” category corresponds to those exports that can be distributed among the provinces whose provincial origin has not yet been determined.
