3.Our main intention for this gathering & campfire is to enhance the fellowship between brotherand sister scouts and sister guides in and out of Penang and to have fun while being drawn awayfrom unhealthy activities. Besides, participants will learn about team building, how to compromiseand improvise, be creative and also develop other skills and positive attitude to betterthemselves.

4. Food and drinks will provided only for dinner. Refreshments will be sold throughout the wholeevent.

5. Please note that we will not be responsible for any mishap which may occur before the event,during the event and after the event, such as theft, lost of personal properties etc.

school is required to send 2 representatives. lf there are any enquiries about any competitionsyou may ask us before the briefing using the contacts provided in the important contacts section.Please fill up the reply form attached and return it to us with cash / a crossed cheque madepayable to SXI Scout Group Committee on the day of the meeting . Outstation schools are excused

but they must mail in the forms with the necessary payments also by the 27th of May 2OL2. Please

include T-Shirt size and food remarks whether the participant has any allergies to any type offood, requires halal food or are vegetarians in the reply form. A receipt will be issued as soon as

the payment is received.

Registration1. All participants are to register at the registration counter on the 9th of June 20L2 latest by

1130 hours in FULL UNIFORM. Those that are late or not in full uniform WILL NOT be

entertained.

2. The registration counter will be open by 1100 hours on that day.

3. Please present your original official receipt during registration to verify the number of

participants who have paid the entrance fees.

4. All unit/troop/coy leaders, are required to include the name of scoutmasters and teacher

advisors attending thls event in the reply form along with the names of the participants.

5. Scoutmasters and teacher advisors listed in the reply form attending the gathering need

not pay entrance fees. The head of receptions must be informed about their presence first

during registration.

Entrance fees1. Entrance fees are to be paid during the meeting on the 26th of May 20L2. An official

receipt will be issued on that day itself. Troops/Units/Coys who do not pay their fees WILL

NOT be entertained.

2. The entrance fee will cover t T-shirt, 1 booklet, 1 badge, dinner and our other expenses to

make this event a safe and enjoyable one.

Discipline and securitv1. Participants who are found possessing any prohibited drugs, alcoholic drinks, prohibited

fireworks, any tobacco products, dangerous equipment or weapons and any other items

prohibited will be handed to the Royal Police Force of Malaysia.

2. NO coupling up in any areas.

3. NO piercings of any kind or dyed hair throughout the whole event.

4. NO break dancing or shuffling throughout the whole event, including sketch and dance

competitions.

5. NO usage of vulgarities in any form throughout the whole event, including sketch and

dance competitions.

6. Please DO NOT vandalise the school property.

7. Participants are NOT allowed to leave the school unless permitted by their respective

troop/unit/coy leaders. The organizing committee WILL NOT be held responsible for any

injury or loss of property which occurs while inside and outside of the school.

8. Participants will be briefed on the restricted areas during registration.

9. Participants are required to wear a scarf AT ALL TIMES except during sketch, dance,

cosplay, ironlympics and ironlympicess competitions.

Cleanliness1. Please DO NOT litter. Throw your rubbish into the rubbish bins.

2. Each troop/unit/coy will be provided with a black plastic bag In their classes to put their

rubbish.

Best Supportt. This award will be given to the school which participates most in this event, gives the best

crowd response, are most supportive.

Best Discipline1. This award will be given to the schoolwhich obeys allthe rules and regulations.

2. NO break dancing or shuffling throughout the whole event.

3. Wears proper attire AT ALL TIMES.

4. NO usage of vulgarities in any form.

5. Takes care of EVERY property that belongs to St. Xavie/s lnstitution and The 7th

Georgetown (North) Scout Group.

lronlvmpics & lronlvmpicess CompetitionL. This competition will be divided into two categories; lronlympics for scouts and

lronlympicess for girl guides and will be held at the basketball court and student car park

from 1300 hours until 1700 hours.

2. Participants are required to be at the basketball court by L230 hours for the briefing of the

course.

3. A maximum of ONLY 2 participants from each school are allowed in this competition.

4. The participant that can complete ALL courses with the fastest time will be the winner.

5. Please make sure the participants sent are fit physically, mentally and emotionally to avoid

any unwanted injuries.

6. Participants MUST wear shoes and long pants during this competition to avoid any

unwanted injuries.

7. lronlympicess participants are advised to wear dark coloured clothes.

8. Participants performing any foul play such as pushing of other participants will be

disqualified.

9. Participants are NOT allowed to get help from other participants and non-participants.

10. Participants need not wear the scarf for this competition and are advised to dress in

appropriate attire.

11. Participants are NOT allowed to wear their full uniform for this competition.

Survivor Knockout Competition1. This competition will be held from 1400 hours until 1700 hours.

2. Participants are to be at the palm court by 1330 hours for the briefing of the course.

3. Each school are required to send 10 participants for this competition

4. There are a few stations in this game where different scouting/guiding skills are tested.

5. ln each station, a certain amount of participant(s) will be required to do a certain task or

answer a series of questions correctly.

6. Once a certain participant takes part in a station, that participant will not be allowed to

participate in the other stations.

7. lf a certain participant is unable to complete the station for 8 minutes, he/she will be

allowed to request for help from the other teammates. The amount of help that can be

given varies from station to station.

8. For the first station and the last station, participants need not follow rules number 5 and 7.

9. Participants are NOT allowed to wear their full uniform for this competition.

10. The team that manages to complete allthe stations with the least amount of help from

other teammates in the fastest time will be the winner.

Modern Cooking Competition1. This competition will be held from 1330 hours to 1630 hours in the canteen.

2. Participants are to assemble at the canteen by 1300 hours for a briefing of the competition.

3. The maximum number of participants per school is 5 people. Utensils and ingredients WILL

NOT be provided. Participants are allowed to bring a maximum of only 3 stoves.

4. Participants are NOT allowed to get help from other non-participating members.

5. Participants are required to prepare a minimum of 5 main dishes. Participants are allowed

to choose to prepare an ala carte or a course meal.

6. Participants are also required to prepare a minimum of 1. extra main dish using a special

ingredient that will be revealed and provided during the briefing. Participants are allowed

to choose to make this dish ala carte or join it with the course meal.

7. All together, participants are required to prepare a minimum of 5 main dishes having one

of it containing the special ingredient.

8. Extra marks might be given for extra dishes.

9. The dishes served MUST be halal.

10. Participants are required to prepare a menu.

11. The maximum budget is RM 100. Participants are required to present the budget list in

their menu.

12. Decoration may result in more marks.

13. Cleanliness and hygiene should be kept well AT ALL TIMES.

14. NO pre-prepared food, artificialflavourings or canned food are allowed into this

competition.

15. All cooking are to be done in the perimeter given during the competition.

15. Particlpants need not wear their full uniform when cooking but are required to be in full

uniform during inspection at 1630 hours.

Cosplav Competition1. This competition is held during the campfire.

2. Each schools are allowed to send a maximum of 2 participants for this competition.

3. The order of participants will be decided through drawing of lots. Please send one

representative at 1715 hours to the PA area to decide the order of performances.

4. Each schools are required to make 1 costume for either an already existing superhero, a

new superhero created by the school or a superhero with improved abilities made by the

school.

5. The costumes are highly encouraged to be made of recycled materials.

6. The costumes MUST be self-made.

7. The costume MUST NOT be revealing.

8. 1 participant will be required to wear the costume while the other has to present.

9. The participant wearing the costume need not wear the scarf.

10. Any media files for example background music MUST be handed up to the registration

counter du ring registration.

11. The media file handed in MUST NOT contain any vulgarity.

1. This competition is held during the campfire.

2. The order of participants and objects given to advertise will be decided through drawing oflots. Please send one representative at 1715 hours to the PA area to decide the order ofperformances.

3. Each schools are required to send either 2 or 3 participants for this competition.

4. Marks will be given for creativity, originality and other criterias.

5. Dialects are allowed but the main language used must be English or Bahasa Melayu.

5. The minimum time to advertise is 2 minutes and the maximum time is 5 minutes.

7. Extra marks might be given if contestants follow the theme of this event.

Sketch Competition1. This competition is held during the campfire.

2. The order of participants will be decided through drawing of lots. Please send one

representative at 1715 hours to the PA area to decide the order of performances.

3. The sketch must be at least 4 minutes and must not exceed 12 minutes.

4. Extra marks might be given if the sketch follows the theme of this event.

5. Sketch MUST NOT contain any explicit actions or any vulgarity of any form.

5. Props, clothings or costumes are highly encouraged and MUST NOT be revealing.

7. Break dancing and shuffling is STRICTLY prohibited.

8. Dialects are allowed but the main language of the sketch must be English or Bahasa

Melayu.

9. Any media files for example sound effects and pre-recording of dialogues MUST be handed

up to the registration counter during registration.

10. The media file handed in MUST NOT contain any vulgarity.

1. This competition is held during the campfire.

2. The order of participants will be decided through drawing of lots. Please send one

3. The dance can be either modern or traditional.

4. The dance MUST be at least 3 minutes and must not exceed 5 minutes.

5. The amount of dancers MUST be from 5 to 20 dancers.

6. Extra marks might be given if the dance follows the theme of this event.

7. Dance MUST NOT contain any explicit movements, break dancing or shuffling.

8. Costumes are highly encouraged.

9. Clothings and costumes MUST NOT be revealing

10. All media files MUST be handed up to the registration counter during registration.

11. The media file handed in MUST NOT contain any vulgarity.

12. Please save your files in a thumb drive using an mp3 format and label them clearly.

Best Overall. L't Runner-Up and 2nd Runner-Up1. The award will be decided via compilation of all the marks from all competitions.

2. Participation in competitions will award marks for this trophy even if the school doesn't

win.

3. Winning in competitions will provide more marks for this trophy.

NOTE:1. Please be reminded that judges will hidden at every corner of this event so please do your

best in all activities and events throughout this campfire and gathering.

2. The organizing committee deserves the rights to amend the rules and regulations at any

time.

3. Failure to obey the rules and regulation may result in disqualification in the competition

and deduction of marks for the Best Overall, 1't Runner-Up and 2nd Runner-Up trophy.
