Today, Albania is a stable country and in an extremely interesting development and

growth phase. The country, thanks to the italian support, goes towards a future

membership in the European Union in a clear and planned path.

During the last years the country has witnessed

very important changes, before the global crisis,

up to 2010, had a consistent GDP growth tax,

always superior than +6%.

Albania has inevitably suffered global crisis,

but last figures highlight 1,65% GDP growth,

(1st trimester 2014), while 2013, with a 0,48%

Why invest in Albania. With a growing market and a stable economic, political

and legal structure, as well as a liberalised economic environment and good

conditions for business, Albania is an attractive country for investors.

Albanian goverment has taken a wide variety of structural reforms to enforce

constitutional state and to create an internationally competitive business climate.

A new economic model has been implemented, with special interest in

production and exports through important structural reforms.

A further reform of the general economic context, so called "business climate", is

in place to better share growth opportunities with foreign investors.

Competitive Human Resources

• 57% of population in Albania is below 35 years;

• in the region, average salary in Albania in one of the most competitive;

Minimum wage is the lowest in the Balkans;

• Albania has over 1 million professionals well educated and highly motivated;

• English, italian and greek are all widely spoken languages while french and

german are taught in schools;

• Every year, more than 100.000 students apply to university.

Albania has a wide range of public-private investment opportunities. Presents

Business climate and economic freedom

Last year, Albania has been climbing 40 positions (from 108 to 68) in the World Bank

report "Doing Business 2015", ranking particularly well in three indicators:

•tax payment,

•property registration,

•Investors protection (ranking 7nth of the world and best Balkan region).

According to EBRD, Albania has been the best reforming country of 2014, having

scored higher points in commerce, tax freedom and with investments.

Albania offers not only a highly qualified workforce, but also one of

the lowest labour cost in the region. Relationships between

employees and employers are governed by individual job contracts.

Albania adheres to all the existing international conventions about

basis of work by organizations for protection of workers' rights.

Minimun wage in Albania is 22.000 ALL per month, more or less.

157 Euro. Basic minimum monthly wage is given for 8 hours of work

per day. Average salary (public and private sectors) is 36.075 ALL

monthly, more or less 266 euro.
