HOTEL SECTORRecent analysis indicates opportunities for hotels
investment in Rwanda, complementing and building
upon the country’s strengthening economy.
Businesses here also benefit through access to a huge
potential workforce, providing all the skills, diversity and
flexibility they could possibly need.

RESTAURANTS AND FOOD
SUPPLY CHAIN
Umubano Hotel also offers a significant investment opportunity for
restaurateurs. Our strong local economy, supported by year-round tourism,
ensures that all the right ingredients are in place: our local population
enjoys more disposable income than elsewhere in East Africa, on average
and in addition the city has a student population of more than 15,000.
Restaurants here enjoy access to one of the finest supply chains in
Rwanda. Farming businesses form the backbone of the food supply chain
and there are more than 200 located throughout the local area.
Local eateries and hotels spend at least $10 million on food and drink
supplies per annum, and around half of this is spent locally, which
demonstrates the significant cost, time and waste efficiencies that
enable businesses here to be more sustainable.
