About
The Biotechnology Industry Organization represents the
biotechnology companies and institutions that research,
develop and produce innovative health care, agricultural,
industrial and environmental technologies. Our members
reflect the industry; we are start-ups, Fortune 500 com-
panies, regional and national bioscience centers, state
and international biotech associations, and academic
institutions.
As a nonprofit organization, we reinvest our resources into
creating a public policy, business and financial environ-
ment that will ensure the biotech community’s continued
success. Your sponsorship not only supports our events,
but also strengthens our advocacy efforts and furthers the
public’s understanding of biotech’s contributions to daily
life. We are committed to principled and rigorous financial
stewardship.
t 1
Become a SponsorThe promises of better health, increased agricultural
productivity, new energy sources, and a cleaner environ-
ment are a reality today thanks to biotechnology. Your
organization can invest in the future of this trans-
formational industry by becoming a sponsor of the
Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO).
As biotech’s leading trade association, BIO drives indus-
try growth through advocacy, business services and net-
working events for more than 1,250 member life science
companies and related organizations.
In addition to our policy efforts, the hallmark of our
work is our events—from venture capital meetings to
the world’s largest international biotech convention.
BIO conferences identify the trends, bring key players
together and spark the relationships that transform
the future.
By supporting BIO events, you boost your company’s vis-
ibility and reinforce your leadership in the industry, while
advancing BIO’s sole mission—to sustain and grow the
biotech community.

Keynote/plenary sessions. Nobel laureates, U.S. presidents and entertainers are among BIO’s past plenary and keynote speakers, including former U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell and California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. Sponsorships of plenary and keynote sessions are available for many BIO conferences.
Networking receptions. Making new contacts at conference receptions is a major draw at any event. Nearly every BIO conference features a popular networking opportunity.
