HELLO!
I work on the Conservation Projects of the heritage listed buildings of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, particularly the Brazilian National Museum.
Aside from Architect, I am also Archaeologist and Historian, and my academic research is about Santa Rita Parish, in the port area of Rio de Janeiro.

HOW TO EXPLAIN
UNDER
THE
FLOOR
This history begins in 1996,
when the couple Merced &
Petrúcio Guimarães found a
burial ground at home.
Based on the Brazilian
Federal Law on
Archaeological Heritage
(3.924/1961), the family has
converted their house into a
cultural center to celebrate
the Afro-American memory.

A LETTER FROM THE KING
dr.
desalmados, e a uns 20 passos dele alguns pretos
No meio deste
(1906, p. 224-
225)

CUSTOMSOFLOST
“Custom took effect within a context
of sociological norms and tolerances.
It also took effect within a workaday
routine of livelihood. It was possible
to acknowledge the customary rights
of the poor, but place obstacles in
the way of their exercise.”

1993:101-2)
