– Gospels– Acts of the Apostles– The Letters– Book of Revelation
The Gospels
• This is the first section of the New Testament
• There are four Gospels:– Matthew– Mark– Luke– John

• Matthew, Mark, and Luke are also called the synoptic Gospels
• The Gospels were written at different times and for different groups of people
Acts of the Apostles
• Written by the evangelist Luke
• Tells the story of the early church following the Ascension of Jesus
The Letters• Also called the EpistlesEpistles
• Many were written by Saint Paul
• Written to the early churches
Book of Revelation
• Last book of the Bible
• May have been written by the evangelist John
• Written using signs and symbols because of Roman persecution
