endangered species in Brazil. • The name was chosen after an online voting

process in which 1.7 million people took part• Around 48% people voted for Fuleco• It is a portmanteau of the words "Futebol"

("Football") and "Ecologia" ("Ecology")• It is hugely popular in Brazil, and scores an

average of 7.3 out of 10 on appeal.

Official Ball• Named ‘Adidas Brazuca’• Name was selected by a public vote that received

responses from more than 1 million Brazilian football fans

• Brazuca received over 70 per cent of the vote• The other names in competition were Bossa Nova and
