What do we mean by concepting

Concepting involves

• Looking for inspiration • Growing your ideas• Sketching & drawing• Recording the process through words & art

1. Brainstorm ideas for objects in your environment

Research the objects you think you need

Draw some rough sketches on paper

Draw / Photoshop a final, polished piece of concept art

Task 1

• Brainstorm ideas for objects within your game scene / level

Task 2

• Research those items

• Print-Screen your findings and paste these in a word document or PowerPoint

• Save the document as ‘3D Research Portfolio’

Task 3

• Draw concept art & rough sketches for some of these objects
