What you can expect from this class• Your instructors CARE about your SUCCESS.

• Your instructors are willing to help and answer your questions.

• We will NOT lecture 50 minutes each time. There are many ways to learn the material. We will show you how to navigate in CourseCompass to help you find your learning style.

• We will have some group activities.

Syllabus and Policies• If you have an approved reason to miss an

exam, contact your instructor ASAP. You may only make-up the exam if you can take it in advance of the regularly scheduled exam. Otherwise, your final exam score will be used in its place.

• Since all assignments can be completed in advance, homework and quizzes will not be accepted after the due date. However, the two lowest homework and quiz scores will be dropped at the end of the semester.

Attendance

• Good Attendance is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!

• Here are real-life examples:– Student X: 88.4% + 1.5% (90% attendance) = A

– Student Y: 58.9% (30% attendance) = failing!
