Our recommended vials, caps and inserts are specifically designed and made for Agilent™ compatible autosamplers.In general, Agilent™ autosamplers use a 9mm thread screw vial (sometimescalledROBOorDPvial).
These vials require a 9-425 screw cap, available in various colours for colour-coding of yoursamples(seepages5-6).For Biopharma applications, we recommend a PTFE/Silicone liner.Most of Agilent™ GC and some LC applications use 11mm crimp vials with an 11mm aluminum crimp cap available in 5 colours (see page4).Some chemists prefer a snap vial, which requires a 11mm snap cap. LC Certified Combi-KitsDue to customer requests, Chrom4 is now providing QC Certified vial and cap Combi-Kits.
These certified Combi-Kits are identical to the Combi-Kits found on page 23 of the Sample Handling section of this cat-alogue, but will include certificiation documentation.
Every batch of LC certified Combi-Kits is tested on 16 critical parameters. The vial and cap combinations are checked for blanks and contamination by HPLC/UV and LC-MS testing.
Certified Combi-Kits include the batch-specific test results and the HPLC/LC-MS chromatograms.
The LC certified Combi-Kit components are shipped shrinkwrapped to ensure purity, transport and end user safety.
Certified Combi-Kits are available in a 2mL Short Thread clear and amber vial with appropriate cap.

Void-sealing cartridge systemThe system is characterized by a void-sealing mechanism. If a void eventually occurs at the top of the column bed, a simple tightening of the locking head will move the cone-sealing cylinder and frit downwards until it creates the zero-void configuration of the original cartridge. Large knurled end fittings allow ready hand-tightening of the system.

The ASI HPLC pump is designed with the chromatographer in mind. It can be used as a reliable low cost isocratic pump or integrated into a gradient HPLC System. In either case, the pump incorporates several key features which make it truly one of a kind in the world of HPLC Pumps.
Isocratic Model 501
The Model 501 is a high performance, compact solvent delivery module that has been designed to compete with the most expensive pump systems on the market in reliability and performance without the high cost. A dual piston design with solvent compressibility feedback assures virtually pulse-free and accurate solvent delivery. The Model 501 has all of the features of the Model 500, but without gradient programming capability. It may be used as an economical stand alone pump for isocratic operation, or in conjunction with a Model 500 for gradient opera tion.
Model 500
The Model 500 has been designed to convert the Model 501from an isocratic pump to a gradient HPLC system. Full operation and gradient control programming is achieved through the keypad on the front panel of the Model 500. The Model 500 includes a high pressure integral static mixer, connecting tubing, and all the accessories necessary to quickly convert the Model 501 to gradient operation.
Model 500G
The Model 500G is a complete high pressure gradient HPLC system. The system includes one Model 501, one Model 500, and all necessary electrical and plumbing connections.

Guard columns consist of 5 meters of deactivated fused silica supplied with high temperature string. All guard columns are extremely inert and each is pretested.
Guard columns are useful in protecting your analytical column from harmful non-volatile contaminates that are commonly found in many environmental and industrial samples.
Attaching the guard column to the front of the analytical column using fused silica connectors, or zero dead volume union, will extend your column’s lifetime. The non-volatile contaminants are deposited onto the guard column.

ChromGC Press-Fit connectors allow you to simply connect, with a tight seal, different columns or Retention Gaps together in many ways. Our Press-Fit connectors are custom-made to fit any tubing size and to ensure the minimal dead volume.
Press-Fit Union linear connectors, ideal to connect two columns or a Retention Gap to the analytical column.
Press-Fit “Y” three way connectors, ideal to connect two analytical columns to a single injector port or split the exit of one column to a dual detector GC system. Many other configurations are possible using ChromGC “Y” Press-Fit.

What is an XTRM (Extreme) column?XTRM columns are wall coated open tubular (WCOT) columns consisting of stainless steel tubing that has a special internal surface treatment. This special surface treatment makes the surface similar to deactivated fused silica. The unique surface treatment process permits us to offer XTRM columns in a wide range of internal diameters and phases. Because the special surface treatment permeates the stainless steel surface, rather than the conventional coating, the layer is particularly easy to bend, so the tubing can be coiled to very small diameters.
Compare XTRM columns and fused silica columns:• Metal columns can be coiled under 4.5 inches without breaking, ideal for small instruments.• Metal tubing allows XTRM columns to be used to higher temperatures (430°C) than fused silica columns
(standard rating is 380°C). • Coating efficiency (plates/meter) of XTRM columns is comparable to that of fused silica.• Dormancy of XTRM columns and fused silica columns is comparable, due to the unique properties
of the special surface treatment in XTRM columns.• XTRM columns will not break under stress.
