Scope and Objectives of the Workshop and Field Visit General Objectives
• Current situation on groundwater monitoring systems in the LMB; • Learn from experiences in Thailand with respect to groundwater resources
management• Development of a Groundwater Database for the Lower Mekong Basin • Continuation of the cooperation with USGS• Preliminary action plan and strategy for future MRC groundwater
monitoring activities in cooperation with Line Agencies of the Member Countries.
