Modules

A module is an extension or plug-in to Drupal that adds extra features

Blocks

A block is a small chunk of content that can be placed in any region on the site.

User

● Anyone who has a user name and password to access the site is a User.

● Users have different permissions to let them accomplish various tasks and keep the site secure.

● http://mydrupalsite.com.au/user is where you go to login to your Drupal site.

Path

Theme

● The look and feel of the website.

● Theme separates the style, colours, fonts and layout from the content.

● There are many free themes available for download at http://drupal.org/project/Themes

Menus

Lists of content links that help users find what they want.

Menus help define the site structure and site map.

Navigation

● Navigation is the default menu type where Drupal puts links such as logout, my account, create content and other admin tasks.

● Also a good place for links for users who are logged in.

Admin menu

● Admin menu is a special module that site administrators can access to make it easier to work on the website.

● A black bar at the top of the website appears when site administrators are logged in.

● Contains links to Content management, Site configuration, User management etc.

Workflow

● A module to make it easier to create content in stages before it is published live on the website.

● In theory;● Create content● Send for review● Edit, hold or approve● Publish

Taxonomy

● Taxonomy is how Drupal will classify and categorise content. ● Categories● Vocabularies ● Terms● Keywords● Tags

Web form

Web form is a module that allows us to create contact forms, event registration and other interactive content types that require users to enter data online.

CKeditor

● What you see is what you get! Wysiwyg● The inline page editor you use to edit content

and upload images.

Calendar

● The calendar has a year, month, week and date view.

● The event content type will show up in the calendar
