• How and why do we relate to certain types of technology?
• What happens when technology disrupts or enhances intimate relationships with one another?
Thesis Interests
• A series of objects that explore different types of relationships.
• A series of objects that disrupt or assist intimate connections in human relationships.
Why?
• I consider myself a cyborg.
• We live in a time that allows and sometimes requires us to develop new and often intimate relationships with rapidly advancing technology.
Why?
• I’m fascinated relationships.• What makes a relationship work? Not work?• Is there a way to predict success/failure?

Mini Thesis: exChange
-connected wearable devices that mimic an exchanged breathing pattern of two individuals.
-stretch sensors measure real-time breath data from individuals involved.
-individuals become acutely aware of their breathing as both separate and networked persons.
Next Steps
• For thesis I want to expand on exChange.
• I also want to conceptualize other objects or speculative designs that would compliment the breathing devices.
