Firstly, I would like thank Mrs. Gayatri Bhardwaj, the Founder and Management Director and Mr. Shudhir Bhardwaj, the Chief Executive Officer of Globuzz Events for giving me an opportunity to pursue an internship with Globuzz, Dubai.. For me it has been an experience to be in Dubai and to work for the organization. It also helped in my interest and make plans for my future.

I would really like to thank Mr. Chirag Soni our Mentor in the organization, Ms. Lolita D’souza, Ms. Matilda, Ms Nicollette , M. 2. UNDERSTANDING:

Internship is like a job but includes lots of practical learning for a fresher. It is a kind of practical experience which helps in expanding the Learning’s and helps in building a prior knowledge in the field in which I am working. And the main thing is that if a work is given to anyone in your team then it your responsibility automatically as he/she is on your team.

3. OBJECTIVE

At the beginning of the internship I formulated several learning goals which I wanted to achieve were:

o The functioning and working of the corporate world as I am a Fresher.o What it is like to work in a corporate organization?o What my limits can be?o How capable am I?o To learn about organizing and planning for any project.o To go on the field and attend corporate meetings and experience the

5. PROJECTS WORKED ON:

5.1 Project 1

Name of the Project: Abu

Dhabi Shopping Festival

Project type: Festival, a month long activity

Project introduction: The project was associated with Lulu Hypermarket for the shopping festival.

Project Objective: To Design a campaign which is related to shopping and which will be a month long activity.

Scope of work: Use the details provided for creating ideas, activities and to increase the footfall to attract the customers.

Accomplishment : We came up with 16 Ideas all together for Abu Dhabi Shopping Festival

Experience: It was good experience as this was the first time we all sat together and tried to complete the first project on time. The learning was to be able to generate execution able ideas in a limited span of time.

5.2 Project 2

Project name : Royal India Wellness Magazine Advertisements Proposal

Project type: Identifying and collating data of interested Target Audience, Getting details of the marketing heads of the companies for the “Royal India Magazine” advertisements.

Project introduction: The Company was coming up with a new Magazine for its Upcoming Event i.e. “The Royal India Wellness Show” which is going to be held in June,2015.

Project Objective: To get the email address and the contact no. of the marketing head or the manager to whom we can we can send a Proposal for Our Royal India Wellness Magazine.

Scope of work: Provided with list of all the targeted hospitals, saloons, health clubs, spas with more than 1150 contacts the work was divided between 3 people.

Accomplishment: made the pitch for the advertisement proposal and we made around 1150 calls to Hotel, Spa and Saloon all together. The work was done on time with the follow up of all the contacts.

Experience: Helped in knowing how to do data generation of a company i.e. how data for anything in the company is generated and how important it is to have a correct and simple pitch of your idea so that other people can understand easily and can connect with you.

5.3 Project 3

Project name : Crescent English School Al Qusais

Project type: Generating Ideas for Crescent School.

Project Introduction and objective: Create plans and activity flow so that the school has more visibility and is known by the localities’, and to find ways to double the number of Students per Standard.

Scope of work: had to think broader, had full access to any area in the school, generating activities which would be simple and effective techniques, considering the main target audience was Parents and Corporate.

Accomplishment: Generated 3 main Ideas which are Seminars, inter-school competition and Summer School.

Experience: this was the first time worked alone on such a big project. It was a good experience as it allowed me to push my Limits up and test where I am and where I can be.

5.4 Project 4

Project name: Lulu Godrej Project

Project type: Retail activation of Cinthol , Hair care and AER products

Project Introduction: Main idea was to launch the Cinthol product at “LuLu Hyper-supermarkets”

Project Objective: The objective was to create the plan for the launch of the products of Godrej such as Cinthol soaps, AER room freshener products and hair expert products.

Scope of work: The scope of work was creating plans for activation of the products and designing activities to introduce the Godrej products to customers.

Accomplishment: Applied concepts for retail activation of Godrej in Lulu Hypermarkets and stores and we came up with Ideas 10 all together for the PROJECT.

Experience: Try to empathize yourself with the customer, so that when you stand there you are

ready to buy the product, so the ideas should come accordingly .

5.5 Project 5

Project name: Data Generation For the Event

Project type : Collecting data from already held events

Project objective: Go online look for the events which took placed in Dubai and go through their

websites for collecting information.

Scope of work: Generating the list of Exhibiters which participated in the events held in Dubai. Generating list of contact details of the head of purchasing department with their Email id so that later on we can tell them about the services which the company can provide.

Accomplishment : Successfully generated the list of the companies with the details

Experience: It was a laborious activity, since it was a huge list of exhibiters and getting contact details of the Heads was not so easy, learned how data is generated and made me think appreciate the value of such data and wonder how this can be made simpler in the future

5.6Project 6

Project name: Simply life project

Project Type: Based on Activation

Project objective: To come up with ideas for ADCB credit card activation.

Scope of work: to create activities and a create tag line for the launch which ADCB can use in their premises for the activation of their credit card.

Accomplishment: Successfully provided with ideas and also with the tag lines for the same

Experience: Got to know about the banking operations in UAE and what all are the parameters to open an account plus to take a loan and various other banking related operations in Dubai

5.7 Project 7

Project name: Malabar Gold PR Campaign

Project type: Designing PR Concept

Project Objective: Designing PR concepts for artistries of Malabar Gold

Scope of Work: Brainstormed ideas for the PR campaign to generate Ideas which can be used by Malabar gold for the promotion and Exhibition.

Accomplishment: Successfully Given ideas for the Campaign.

Experience: Learned more about the gold market and the comparison between Indian market Gold and UAE gold market

Project name: Malabar Gold for Diwali Promotions

Project Type: Creating and Designing in-store activities for promotion

Project Objective: Designing PR activities for MALABAR GOLD DIWALI promotion.

Scope Of Work: Designing social media campaign and activities for the promotions

Accomplishment: Successfully Designed social media campaigns , tag lines and came up with 12 in-store activities.

5.9 Project 9

Project name: PR concepts for Al Wadha Mall

Project Type : PR Concepts Creation

Project Objective : Create year long activity

Scope Of Work : To design the activities and its mechanics for AWM for the period Apr. 15 to Dec. 15

Accomplishment: We suggested various activities and reworked on it after the feedback

eventually designed activities and concepts for 9 months April to December.

Experience: It was a great experience in knowing different types of events which are going to held in the coming months it was good to on what basis the events are organized in different formats.

Project name: UAE’s got Talent

Project Type: Talent hunt

Project Objective : Create Judging Criteria For Acting, Singing, Music and Dance

Scope of Work : Creating Criteria’s for judges So that they can Judge on the parameters which we have provided. The scope of work is for judging dance, acting, singing and music.

Experience : During the Research I got to know what parameters are there on which normally a talent is Judged .

Project name: Malabar Vishu Festival Project Type: To Generate Ideas for in-store Activity For the Vishu Festival Project Objective: To create activity ideas and PR activities in store for the Vishu diwali

7. Professional and Personal Experience:

Organizing Project: During the internship I have done field work for “WOW MOM” at “Al Wadha Mall”. Because of this I have seen aspects one needs to think of while organizing a project (Equipments, permissions.) I have learned how an activity can be set up to seek attention of the public.

Before internship I did not have any experience in events management and had no idea how it works. Now I have an idea how to handle an event and what all are the aspects regarding the same. In the near future I would like to work for the same.

Working in another Country: The internship was an opportunity to get immersed on a deeper level in another culture. It was really inspiring to see how other people live. It helped me to look at things with different perspective.

I did not felt difficulty in understanding the language; I did face difficulties caused by different cultural background. An internship abroad was also a good way for me to see whether I able to work outside the home country. I adjusted really fast to a different way of living.

8. Conclusion

On the whole this internship was a useful Experience. I gained new knowledge, skills and met many new people. I achieved my learning goals.

I got insights into professional practice. I learned different facets of working in an Events Management company. Learned that innovation and simplicity in the major factor for the progress of the project. There is still lot to discover and to improve.

The internship was also good to find out what my strengths and weaknesses are. This helped me to define what skills and knowledge I have to improve in the coming time.

Lastly this internship has given me new insights and motivation to pursue a career in the marketing field.

9.Further Projects:

I would love to work further more with your Organization as it has been a great learning experience. I request to the organization to associate with our institution and provide with projects for each specialization, so that everyone could have those learning which I have experienced. If can learn why cannot my batch mates/rivals/competitors so that the competition becomes more even.The main thing I want that I want to see my institution growing with me as it is just a 5yr young institution with lots of talent.

10. Recommendation

Markets are demanding better and greater Innovation. Customers are having higher expectations. May be this is the area where we are lacking behind. The company needs lots of innovative thinking plus with the smart work. We all know people here are very hard workers but the main point where we lack behind is the innovation due to one or another issues. I would suggest there should an hour session in every organization where we can sit together and the employees can brainstorm on the regular problems that we are facing. So that they can work with their free mind.

Second thing would be that please try to manage and complete the task in the time which the company has pitched.

Thirdly I think people here in the organization can do wonders, but they are not able to I don’t know the insights as I am an intern, but from what I have observed and learned this the thing which I like the most that people have the amazing quality and talent. May be it is the motivation factor. Motivation is lacking in the eployess.
