Internship project was undertaken at Mazdoor Kisan Shakti

Sanghtan(MKSS) under the guidance of the founder members

Shrimati Aruna Roy, Shri Nikhil Dey, Shri Shankar Singh Ji and

my guide Shri Lal Singh Ji Gehlot.. They guided me with

extreme love and affection by playing various roles as a

mentor, counsellor and at times even a friend. They not only

helped me to grow both professionally and personally and gave

me the space to think independently and work on my

suggestions.

Along with that, the staff and other volunteers at Mazdoor Kisan

Shakti Sanghtan(MKSS) were very supportive. Internship helped

me to assess the needs and the behaviour of rural people and

specially people who are engaged in National Rural

Employment Guarantee Scheme(NREGS) of Rajsamand, Ajmer,

Hanumangarh, Bhilwara and Pali District of Rajasthan . They

supported me to take the initiatives and to carry out the way of

my own interaction with rural people.

It would have been impossible to complete internship without

their support and I give a special thanks to them for their

cooperation.

This is to certify that Yashpal Choudhary from Amity School of Rural Management interned with the Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sanghatan, Rajasthan for the period 20 th May to 12th July 2009.

Yashpal is an eager learner and an enthusiastic worker. His keen observation and analysis of people, events and pertinent issues enriched discussions that took place in the organization. He also took to the daily chores and adjusted to the simple living of the organization with a lot of ease.

During the period of internship he was specifically involved in activities that the Sanghatan was undertaking to operationalise various provisions of the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act 2005 in and around the working area of the Sanghatan.

This included

1. Mate training at Kekri, Srinagar and Hanuman Garh

2. Padyatra in Madariya, Anjana, Kalesariya and Daulpura in preparation for Rozgaar Mela which was to be held on 25th June 2009

3. NREGA worksite visit

We wish her/him well, and hope s/he continues to contribute to help the marginalized and the poor.
