Internet Safety
The internet is an open door to a world of information, some of which can be informative and educational, some of which can be inappropriate and harmful.
• If your password is too simple, someone might guess it. • Create a password that is difficult to figure out (e.g., a
combination of numbers, letters and symbols). • Never share your password with anyone
Password
Communication• If you are talking to someone
and they don’t respect your limits and/or ask you questions that are too personal, end your conversation immediately.
• Learn how to use privacy settings to limit who can access your personal information.
Pictures• Once a picture is sent from your
webcam, cellphone, Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, etc., it may stay there forever.
• A picture on the Internet can go around the globe… Be careful how you pose and how you post !
•• Don’t believe everything you see or read !
• Many things are not true or real.
• Be responsible. • You leave a permanent digital
fingerprint every time you navigate on the internet … don’t leave one that you will regret.
