Gestion des ressources critiques

• Afrinic est une réalité depuis 4 février 2004,gére effectivement l’attribution des adressesIP (Internet Protocol) et ASN (AutonomousSystem Numbers)

• L’initiative est partie de Cotonou au Béninen 1998. Ses contours prendront forme auCap (Afrique du Sud) en 2000

• En 2001 un conseil administratif intérimairesera mis en place a Accra (Ghana).

Un peu d’histoire• C'est lors de la conférence INET de 1995, à

Hawaii, que fut évoquée l'idée de sacréation. A l'époque seuls le RIPE (Europe)et l'APNIC (Asie Pacifique) fonctionnaientsous leur forme actuelle: l'ARIN étaitencore gérée par NSI.

• Le premier projet officiel a été présenté lorsde la conference de Kuala Lumpur le 24juin 1997.
