D.1 The top seven (7) NOCs in the overall Marc Hodler Trophy standings at the FIS Junior Alpine World Ski Championships 2015 and the Host Country are entitled to a quota of two (2) men and two (2) women, for a total of eight (8) NOCs.
D.1.1 If there is a tie for 8th place in the Marc Hodler Trophy Standing (or 7
th if the
Host Country in not ranked in the top 8), the NOC shall be ranked according to the number of first, second, third, etc. places at the FIS Junior Alpine World Ski Championships 2015.
D.2 The next best ranked NOCs scoring points in the Marc Hodler Trophy standings are entitled to one (1) starting place of each gender, until the maximum quota of 60 men and 55 women is filled.
D.3 Any remaining places will be distributed with a maximum of one (1) male and/or one (1) female athlete per NOC, amongst the NOCs not yet qualified according to D.1 and D.2 that has indicated interest for a quota place(s). The quota allocation for these places will be determined according to their ranking on the male and female YOG quota allocation lists published on 11 January 2016, The allocation will be made by assigning one quota place per NOC from the top of the YOG quota allocations lists until the maximum quota of 60 men and 55 women is reached.
D.3.1 The YOG quota allocation lists, published on 11 January 2016 on the FIS Website www-fis-ski.com is established by adding Giant Slalom and Slalom rankings on the FIS points lists using the table annexed to this document during the qualification period from 1 July 2014 to 10 January 2016. FIS will
publish the latest YOG quota allocation lists for information on a regular basis.
D.3.2 If there is a tie for the final allocated quota place(s) on either the male or female YOG quota allocation lists, the athlete with the best YOG FIS points in Giant Slalom or Slalom will be ranked ahead.
D.4 In the event of cancellation of the FIS Junior Alpine World Ski Championships 2015, the quota calculation in D.1 and D.2 will be carried out according to the YOG quota allocation lists.

HOST COUNTRY PLACES
The Host Country is entitled to a quota of two (2) men and two (2) women, as detailed in D.1. The selection
of athletes is at the discretion of the Host NOC while respecting the eligibility criteria as detailed in C. Athlete
Eligibility.
FIS shall inform the NOCs of their allocated quota places on 11 January 2016 via the FIS website. The
NOCs will then have three (3) days to confirm if they wish to use these quota places, as detailed in G.
Qualification Timeline.
Any allocated quota places that are returned/not confirmed by the respective NOC will be reallocated with a
maximum of one (1) qualified male or female athlete per NOC to those which have indicated interest in
obtaining a quota place. Quota places will be reallocated by FIS based on the YOG quota allocation list(s)
ranking as of 11 January 2016, in consideration of international representation throughout all FIS disciplines
on the programme of the Winter Youth Olympic Games.

standings at the FIS Junior Nordic World Ski Championships 2015 and the Host

Any allocated quota places that are returned/not confirmed by the respective NOC will be reallocated with a
maximum of one (1) qualified male athlete per NOC, which has indicated interest for obtaining a quota place.
Quota places will be reallocated by FIS based on the criteria described in D.3, in consideration of
international representation throughout all FIS disciplines on the programme of the Winter Youth Olympic
Games.

4. Type of Allocation of Quota Places:
The quota place is allocated to the NOC by gender and event.
All athletes must comply with the provisions of the Olympic Charter currently in force, including but not limited to, Rule 41 (Nationality of Competitors). Only those athletes who have complied with the Olympic Charter may participate in the Winter Youth Olympic Games.
Age Requirements:
To be eligible for the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games, athletes must have been born between 1 January 1998 and 31 December 1999 (Ski Cross and Team Ski-Snowboard Cross) and 1 January 1998 and 31 December 2000 (Ski Halfpipe and Ski Slopestyle).
Additional IF Requirements:
Athletes must obtain YOG FIS points in the respective event, Ski Cross, Ski Halfpipe or Ski Slopestyle.
YOG FIS points are earned in accordance with the FIS Rules for FIS Points during the YOG qualification
period from 1 July 2014 to 10 January 2016.

D.3 The four (4) remaining places for both men and women per event will be
distributed with a maximum of one (1) male or one (1) female athlete per
NOC, amongst the NOCs not yet qualified according to D.1 or D.2 and has
indicated their interest for a quota place. The quota allocation for these
places will be determined by the results of the Ski Cross, Ski Halfpipe or Ski
Slopestyle competitions at the FIS Freestyle Ski Junior World
Championships 2015.
D.3.1 If there is a tie for the 4th remaining quota place, the NOC with the best
YOG FIS points ranking will be ranked ahead.
D.3.2 In the events there are still remaining quota places these will be allocated by
rankings on the men’s and women’s YOG FIS points lists published on 11

D.4 Additional participation for athletes already qualified: since the NOC
quota for Freestyle Skiing is restricted to one (1) athlete per gender per event,

entered by the NOC in Alpine Skiing, Ski Halfpipe or Ski Slopestyle, may also
