Eligibility condition and Legal Provisions are given for IEC Code Number Application in Foreign Trade (Regulation) Rules, 1993 Ministry of Commerce, Notification No. GSR 791 (E), dated 30-12-1993.
Application for Grant of IEC Number
Regional Authority of Directorate General Foreign Trade, the Registered office in case of company and Head office in case of others, falls in the ‘Aayaat Niryaat Form - ANF2A’ and shall be accompanied by documents prescribed therein. In case of STPI/ EHTP/ BTP.
Only one IEC would be issued against a single PAN number.

Procedure Acquiring Land
• Apply with the KIADB - Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board, Usually waiting period for a response is and 3-6 months, however if around 20% advance is paid the land will be allotted at the earliest.
• The above process involves the basic infrastructure to be provided such as water, electricity and transport facilities.
• Land will be converted from farm land into industrial area as the amount of land needed will be close to 10-15 acres.
• For electricity the rate will be as follows: - 100 to 200 kW for running the plant, price to be approximated at around Rs.3000-5000/kW
• For water a bore well with a permission of association• 10 - 15 acres of land will be required for our project such as this as
there will be area allotted for the storage of raw materials, storage of finished goods as well as the plant production area.
