Reminder: IP Global Coursework and Minors

There has been some confusion on using coursework taken for the IP toward a minor, too. You can! So longas its not counting toward your major, too

As long as you are not using the coursework already as a major course, then you could use it toward aminor. Only electives, or courses NOT used towards the degree/major can be used to fulfill the minor. Which

means that courses to fulfill the IP anda minor would be restricted to electives and any non-degree courses.

For example: if an INTA student is pursuing IP, and they take INTA 3203 (which is a major requirement), thatcourse can be used to fulfill both the degree requirements andIP. However, that course could NOT be usedtowards a minor. Conversely, if the same student took INTA 3130 - which is NOT required for the major - thestudent could use it towards electives, IP and minor.

For more information on minor coursework regulations, pleasevisit:http://www.catalog.gatech.edu/academics/minorguide.php
