The masters by coursework international scholarship program is awarded to students who have demonstrated academic excellence in their undergraduate study and will undertake an applicable masters by coursework program with the UWA Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences in 2016, 2017 or 2018. The value of each scholarship is determined by the applicant’s undergraduate academic achievement and is awarded based on one of three levels: • AUD $3000 per year; or • AUD $5000 per year; or • AUD $7000 per year. The University of Western Australia invites high achieving international students to apply for a masters by coursework scholarship with the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences. Eligibility The scholarships are available to students who have achieved the minimum academic results from an applicable country and have applied to study an applicable program. Applicable masters courses Health Professions Education For health professionals who seek to develop their knowledge and skills in health professional education. Fundamental issues in health professional education are addressed by fostering interdisciplinary discussion and collaboration, whilst developing knowledge and skills as educators within their field. Public Health Public Health studies provide a foundation in the disciplines of epidemiology, biostatistics, health economics and health promotion for current professionals interested in moving into a wide range of health related industries. Studies also focus on the broader social context in which public health programs are planned, delivered and evaluated. Social Work This is for students with an undergraduate degree in a relevant field who would like to pursue a professional qualification in social work. The course is accredited by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
