Fundraising efforts resulted in monies needed for producing Video Roadmaps

Recruited eight international students from diverse countries: El Salvador, New Zealand, India, South Africa, China, Hungary, Canada, and China. Plan to have twelve students by May 14th

Participants had very positive comments about the effects that they felt their videos would have on the target audiences

Working with International Student Services (ISS)

Working with students’ schedules in terms of filming with Barker Productions

Devising an incentive for students to record videos

OutcomesOutcomes

Meaningful videos that are realistic representations of international students perceptions and provide a roadmap for fellow students’ transitions

A sustainable project that ISS is very enthusiastic about promoting and hosting on a permanent basis

ConclusionConclusion

Video Roadmaps indeed fulfills the ISS mission statement:

“…to facilitate the international student’s transition to life in the United States and at Texas A&M, to promote interactions between the United States and international populations, and to provide services necessary to meet the special needs of international students….”
