able to afford things beyond basic necessities

• Imagine your world if you couldn’t see or use your hands...for the rest of your life

• What would life be like without all the food that is constantly available to us?

LN-4 Project: Building Prosthetic Hands

 In partnership with the LN-4 project, we work with Rotarians provide a durable and functional prosthetic hand to people in need throughout the world!   

International Committee will:

o Raise awareness on campus about global disability and solutionsand assist with the LN-4 Project!

WAPIs (Water Pasteurization Indicators)

• Low cost devices that help users determine when water has reached pasteurization temperatures, showing that it is safe to drink.

Committee will:

o Organize WAPI building days and ship the hundreds of these life saving devices to people around the world!

• Although the Polio vaccine exists, thousands of children in developing countries are still suffering from Polio! 

                                         International Committee will:

• Host dinners, movie nights, and bake sales to raise money for Rotary's "End Polio Now" vaccination campaign

• Committee member planned Polio awareness event

END POLIO NOW campaign

• Non-profit dedicated to reducing childhood mortality through vitamin supplementation

• Cost effective and life changing: Vitamin A supplementation decreases mortality rates by 24%

International Committee will:

o Focus on Operation 20/20, vitamin A deficiency causes blindness and death

o Raise funds and spread awareness

Third World Film Festival and International Forum

• Third World Film Festival: Work with East Bay Rotaract, screening of various films on Berkeley campus

• International Forum: Organize for guest speaker and discussion with other student organizations

International Committee will:o Assist in promotion and

volunteering during the film festival

o Learn, exchange ideas and partner with other student groups to create even more change!
