I YEAR STUDENTS PARENTS’ MEETING 10 JULY 2018
The Parents’ Meeting of all First year students was conducted in the beginning of the Academic
Year 2018-19. The college Principal Lt. Dr. B. Chandramouli chaired the occasion. Dr. L. Vidyasagar
Reddy, Phinlanthopist and CPDC Member was invited as Chief Guest of the programme.

While addressing the gathering, the Principal greeted the parents and welcomed the newly
joined students. He expressed his gratitude to the parents for choosing Govt. Degree College,
Narsampet. He asked the parents to leave their children to his college so that the college would take the
responsilibility of the students to mould them in all round development. He requested the parents to
send their wards to the college regularly for better output of results.
The IQAC Co-ordinator and Asst. Prof. of English Dr. A. Srinath explained about the CBCS pattern
and its relevance to the parents and students. He asked the students to be careful about all the internal
as well as external semester exams.
The Vice-Principal and Lecturer in Mathematics Sri T. Ramesh cited the example his old student
of this college who worked hard, studied well and settled in a good position. He asked the students to
workhard in studies and shape their career.
The Chief Guest and CPDC member Dr. L. Vidyasagar Reddy promised that he would work for
the development of the college and asked the Principal to work for NAAC ‘A’ Grade. He cited that the
career options available to the Government students are better than Private institutions. He requested
the newly joined faculty to impart the knowledge to the students to develop them in all walks of life.
The Chief Guest and the Principal gave away Sports bags and Tiffin boxes to the newly joined
students at the end of the programme.

WORLD POPULATION DAY 11th JULY 2018
The WORLD POPULATION DAY was observed on 11-07-2018. The college Principal Lt. Dr. B.
Chandramouli chaired the occasion. While speaking on the occasion, the Principal stressed the need of
population control im the country. He explained the disadvantages of population explosion. He told that
the crime rate is increasing as per the growth of population in India.
The Vioe-Principal T. Ramesh, M. Balakrishna, Asst. Prof. of Chemistry, M. Narender, Asst. Prof.
of Botany, G. Sreenivas, NSS Programme Officer and the students participated in the programme. The
speakers focused on the demerits of population explosion and called for the population control for
better living conditions of future generations.

College Planning &Development Committee MEETING 18 JULY 2018
College Planning and Development Committee (CPDC) Meeting was held in the Principal’s
chamber on 18th July 2018 under the Chairmanship of the Principal Lt. Dr. B. Chandramouli. The CPDC
members of Narsampet town were invited for the meeting. The Chairman greeted the members and
welcomed to GDC Narsampet and presented the agenda of action plan for the year 2018-19. He
informed them that 12 faculty members have been replaced by 12 new faculty members in general
transfers 2018. He informed them that the college got NAAC ‘C’ Grade in 2015. He explained the reasons
for the C grade. He told that there was no librarian and non-teaching staff during the NAAC assessment.
The Peer team was not satisfied with these aspects and inspite of the best efforts the college could not
get ‘B’ Grade. He promised to achieve better grade in the next NAAC and requested the members to put
their efforts in providing non-teaching staff to the college. He explained the college activities in 2017-19
through Power Point Presentation (Ppt) and requested the support of the members in all round
development of the students and the college. He sought their support in the completion of disputed
part of the ongoing construction of compound wall.
Dr. L. Vidyasagar Reddy greeted the members and the Chairman. He expressed his concern for
the poor enrolment and results of the college. He suggested the need to focus on the III year students
for better results. He promised his support and help in the development of the college and better
enrolment in the next academic year.
The members expressed their support for the development of the college. New members Sri
Srinivas and Dr. Lakan Singh, Asst. Prof. of Zoology were elected. The CPDC members Dr P. Gopi,
Kumaraswamy, Srinivas, Dr. Lakan Singh, and others attended the meeting.

SWACH BHARATH ‘CLEAN & GREEN’ PROGRAMME 25th JULY 2018
Swach Bharath (Clean and Programme) was taken up the staff and students of the college under
the Chairmanship of the Principal Lt. Dr. B. Chandramouli. The college premises were cleaned up by
clearing the bushes and cutting the branches of the trees. At first the students and staff formed as three
to five batches and each batch is involved in the task of cleaning the campus.

Awareness Programme on ‘Prevention of Electricity Shocks’ by DE Narsampet
30thJuly 2018
The Programmes of Awareness Programme on ‘Prevention of Electricity Shocks’was
organized by the IQAC under the Chairmanship of the Principal Lt. Dr. B. Chandramouli. Sri Vijay,
Divisional Engineer, Narsampet, Warangal Rural District was invited as Chief Guest of the Programme.
While addressing the gathering, the Principal cautioned the students to be careful with the
electricity. He urged that each student should bring awareness among three in his/her village about the
dangers of electric shock deaths.He asked the students community to save electricity in order to save
the lives of innocent people.
The Chief Guest explained in detail about the usage of electricity by house purpose and the
supply of power. He told that for 1 unit of current, requires 650 gm coal which releases Carbondioxide.
He told the dangers of the household electric gadgets like cell phone, iron box, water heaterif not used
correctly.
The NSS Programme Officer, Srinivas called upon the students to utilize their knowledge for the
cause of social service. The IQAC Coordinator Dr A. Srinath acknowledged the words spoken by the
members.

UG Dr BRAOU Entrance Test held on 05 August 2018
The College conducted Dr BR Ambedkar Open University UG Admission 2018 Entrance test at
college premises. Around 35 students attended the test. The Director, Dr BRAOU assured to start the
Study Center at the college. The Observer from BRAOU and the Principal Lt. Dr. B. Chandramouli
screened the candidates during the examination.
Life Skills among youth of Telangana 07 August 2018
SI & Constable Fee coaching to aspirants was conducted by the Police Department, Narsampet. The
Principal Lt. Dr. B. Chandramouliwas invited as Guest of Honour to the programme. The key note
speaker and the Chief Guest J.D. Laxminarayana, Rt. IAS Officer presented his lecture on Personality
Development and the need of Life Skills among the youth of Telangana State. The Guest of Honour, Sri
PeddiSudershan Reddy, Chairman, Civil Supplies of Warangal District called upon the young aspirants
that better living conditions can be possible only by education and acquiring various skills. He stressed
for skill-oriented learning process.

Free Coaching to the aspirants of Village Revenue Officers Examination started 08th August 2018
The Department of BC Welfare, Warangal Rural District sponsored the free coaching to the
aspirants who are going to appear for Village Revenue Officers Examination on 16-09-2018. The College
started conducted free coaching classes by its Faculty members and the external resource persons. Dr.
A. Srinath, IQAC Coordinator and Asst. Professor of English commenced the free coaching class with
Communication Skills and General English on 08-08-2018.
DEWORMING DAY 10th August 2018
Deworming Day was observed on 10-08-2018. The Departemnt of Botany and Zoology jointly
organized the programme. The local PHC representative supplied the Albendazole tablets. The Principal
Lt. Dr. B. Chandramouli administered the Albendazole tablets to the students. Later he spoke on the
significance of Deworming day.
Sri M. Narender, Asst. Prof. of Botany addressed the students and told the disadvantages of not
maintaining the neatness in one’s environment. He asked the students to wash well before meals
everyday. Dr. Lakan Singh, Asst. Prof. of Zoology asked the students to beware of worms in our stomach
which are the root cause of indigestion and several ailments in our body. Dr. A. Srinath, IQAC
Coordinator and other faculty members and students were present in the programme.

Telanganaku Haritha Haram (TKHH) 18-08-2018 & 25-08-2018
Mega Plantation drive was taken up on 18-08-208 and 25-08-2018 in connection with
Telanganaku Haritha Haram (TKHH) Programme. The faculty members and the Principal Lt. Dr. B.
Chandramouli actively participated in plantation programme on 1st phase of TKHH.
In the next phase of plantation, local Circle Inspector Sri Devender Reddy was invited. He planted a
sapling and called on the students to plant 5 saplings by each student.
The students, staff and the Principal actively participated in the programme and planted 160 saplings in
the college ground. Later the plants are divided and allotted to each staff member to take care of its
survival.

Novato Fiesta (Welcome to Freshers) 30th August 2018

Novato fiesta was organized on 30-08-2018. The District collector Smt. M. Haritha, IAS arrived
as Chief Guest for the programme. She also planted saplings on the occasion. While addressing
the students and VRO coaching aspirants, she asked the students to work hard in their life to
achieve their goals and dreams. She cited the examples of successful people around us.
Smt. Sunita Mohan, ACP Narsampet arrived as Guest of Honour and she addressed the
gathering. She inspired the students with her mesmerizing speech. She asked the youth to
follow the role models to taste the fruits of success in life.
The other guests of honour Sri N. Ravi, RDO, Narsampet, Sri Devender Reddy, CI, Narsampet,
DFO Warangal Rural gave their message to the students.
The President Lt. Dr. B. Chandramouli expressed his gratitude to the District collector and the
guests for their presence and making the programme a big success. The students, staff , press
correspondents, and stake holders of Narsampet actively participated in the programme. Later
the students performed cultural programmes.

Teachers Day was celebrated on the occasion of birth anniversary of Dr. S. Radha Krishnan. The
faculty members and the Principal are honoured by the students. The programme was
conducted focusing the importance of Teacher in the society.

Awareness Programmeon ;Making of Clay Ganesh Idols’: 10th September 2018
An Awareness Programme on ‘Making Clay Ganesh Idols’ was conducted on 11th September
2018. The students of Science, Arts & Commerce prepared clay Ganesh idols to promote the
message among the people not to use idols made of plaster of paris. The Chief Guest Dr L.
Vidyasagar Reddy detailed on the ill effects and environment pollution of Ganesh immersion
with idols made of plaster of paris. The Principal Lt. Dr. B. Chandramouliasked the students to

motivate everyone in their villages to prepare Ganesh Idols with only clay which is environment

VRO COACHING VALEDICTORY: 11th September 2018
VRO (Village Revenue Officers) Free Coaching Classes started on August 8th 2018 concluded on
11th September 2018. The Veledictory Function was organized under the IQAC. Sri Narashimha
Swamy, BC Welfare Officer, Warangal Rural District chaired the occasion as Chief Guest. He
addressed the gathering to organize more free coaching classes for Competitive Exams with
more number of aspirants. The Principal Lt. Dr. B. Chandramouli expressed his gratitude to the
Chief Guest and the District Collector Smt. M. Haritha for choosing GDC Narsampet as the Free
Coaching Center. The Course Coordinator Dr I. ShivanagaSreenu presented the report of the
classes held. 25 to 30 students attended the coaching classes for over a month. External
Resource Persons like Dr A. Vijay Kumar, Rt. Principal, Dr. Bhujanga Rao and others engaged the
classes besides the Faculty members of the college. Vice Principal T. Ramesh, the IQAC
Coordinator Dr. A. Srinath, Dr Lakan Singh, Bala Krishna and other Faculty members attended

DRC (District Resource Center) Meeting; 12thSeptember 2018
DRC Meeting was convened by the Identified College Principal, GDC Narsampet Lt. Dr. B.
Chandramouli on 12th September 2018 at 11.30 AM in the Principal’s chamber. The Principals of
GDC Parkal Dr. Vijayalaxmi and GDC Wardhannapet Dr. Samatha attended the meeting. The
issues and Academic matters of Govt. Degree colleges of Warangl Rural District were discussed.
It was resolved to take all necessary steps for the development of the college and to increase
academic excellence in the colleges. The DRC Coordinator Dr. A. Srinath, Dr. Lakan Singh, and
other Faculty members attended the meeting.
Hindi Diwas 14th September 2018
Hindi Diwas was celebrated on 14th September 2018. The Programme was organized by the
Incharge Department of Hindi Dr. T. Sumathi. The Principal Dr. B. Chandramouli, IQAC
Coordinator Dr. A. Srinath, Dr I. ShivanagaSreenu, Dr Lakan Singh, L. Satyanarayana, other
faculty members, and students participated in the programme. The speakers expressed their
views on importance of national language Hindi and they tried to speak in Hindi on the
occasion.

World OZONE Day 16th September 2018
World Ozone Day was observed on 16th September 2018. The Jana VignanaVedika members
participated in the programme besides the faculty members and the students. The speakers
stressed the significance of the protection of environment in order to protect the Ozone layer.
The Principal Lt. Dr. B. Chandramouli urged the students and the audience to plant a tree
byevery family in the society to control environment pollution and to save the Ozone layer. The

EXAMINATION CENTER FOR TSPSC PRREDRT
09 October 2018
The college was selected one of the Test centres of Panchayat Raj Rural Development
Entrance Test conducted by the TSPSC on 09th October 2019. The aspirants appeared for the test

The Humanities Department has taken the Arts & Commerce students to Field Trip as part of
Curriculum. The students visited the historic places of Warangal District Ramappa, Laknavaram,

It is submitted to the Chairperson about the challenges faced by all the three
colleges (GDC Narsampet, GDC Parkal and GDC Wardhannapet) i.e., enrolment
due to presence of many private colleges.
Land and Building is required for issue to GDC Parkal and GDC Wardhannapet.
The Chairperson has enquired about the problems faced by the colleges. She
suggested finding possible solutions with available resources.
Achievement of results 2018 and Action Taken Report are submitted.
It is proposed to conduct Skill enhancement programmes such as TALLY, Soft
Skills, Communication Skills, etc to the students.
Infrastructure is required for all the three colleges vide the points mentioned in the
Report of Agenda submitted.
The Chairperson asked the Principals of GDC Parkal and GDC Wardhannapet to
submit land acquirement proposals as per procedure after (December 15) General
elections.
The issue to Toilets is raised by the Principal GDC Parkal.
Minimum Requirements at college such as drinking water and toilets are to be
procured.

The District Forest Departement, Warangal Rural organized Nature Camp on 20th December
2018 at PAKHAL LAKE to bring awareness of importance of Nature and its gifts among the

Handing over the Cheque of Rs.55000/- by the District Collector
30 January 2019
The District Collector Smt. M. Haritha garu has responded positively on the requirements
of the Government Degree Colleges of Warangal Rural District. In response to the issues
discussed in DCEDRC Meeting held on 30th October 2018, she has handed over the cheque of
Rs.55000/- towards computer tables & chairs for establishment of Digital Library in GDC
Narsampet. The Collector madam is kind enough to grant Rs.5.00 Lakh for construction of Girls
toilets at Govt. Degree College, Narsampet. The Digital Library was inaugurated by the Deputy
District Collector Sri Manu garu on 13th March 2019 and the construction work of Girls Toilets
is going on.

Naik garu was invited as Special Chief Guest of the Programme. The CPDC Member Dr. L. Vidyasagar

Warangal District actively participated in Literary Events.
The Guests of the programme called upon the students to enrich their skills besides exhibiting the co-
curricular and extra-curricular events like Yuvatarangam. They acknowledged the potential and power of
youth for development of the nation. The Chief Guest asked the students to aim a goal in life and go
forward. He told the college has good experienced and qualified faculty who are always ready to impart
knowledge. Earlier, the invitees and VIPs have inaugurated the Computer Lab of TSKC (Telangana Skills
and Knowledge Center) of the college.

13 March 2019
A Workshop on C- VIGIL App and awareness on EVM/VVPAT was organized by the college
in collaboration with the District Election Committee. The Honourable Deputy Collector
Sri Manu Chowdary addressed the gathering as Chief Guest of the Programme. Sri
Purushotham, DFO, Warangal Rural was invited as Guest of Honour. Election Nodal Officer Sri
Srinivas explained about the C-Vigil App and its advantages. The Deputy Collector asked the
participants to call 1950 Toll Free number to know the status of the voter.

Seminar on Youth in Social Change was organized by college in association with Balavikasa on
14th March 2019. The Vice-Principal Sri T. Ramesh, IQAC Coordinator Dr. A. Srinath,
Dr. T. Sumathi, Dr. J. Lakan Singh, G. Srinivas, G. Prasoona, students and the representatives
from Balavikasa have actively participated in the programme.

NSS SPECIAL CAMP (By 2 Units)
20-26 March 2019
The NSS Special Camp was conducted by the two units of the college from 20-26 March 2019
at Rajupet and Garlagadda villages of Narsampet Mandal. The volunteers actively participated in
the one week NSS Camp under the supervision of the Programme Officers Sri G. Srinivas, Asst.
Professor of Commerce and Sri B. Ramesh, Lecturer in History. They were involved in clearing
the streets and the ST Hostel surroundings. They enlightened the villagers about the significance
of Swach Bharath. On 24th March the volunteers had taken out a rally on the occasion of World
TB Day. They gave slogans to eradicate TB and brought awareness among villagers. Later they
conducted Blood Grouping tests to the inmates of the villages.
Extension lectures by Sri Surya Rao, Asst. Professor of Economics of Kakatiya Govt.
College, Hanamkonda was conducted. The District Forest Officer, Purushotham had visited the
camp the addressed the volunteers. He urged them to plant as many saplings as possible to
protect the environment. He also asked them to dig water pits for conservation of water
resources. The Rajupet Sarpanch Dasru appreciated the social service extended by the volunteers
at the village. The volunteers had cleared the weeds grown on either side of the road and swept
the roads as part of ‘shram daan’ programme. He gave a clarion call that everyone should get
involved in the development of social activities. The volunteers had roamed the two villages and
interacted with the people to bring awareness on social issues such as superstitions, eradication
of illiteracy, ill effects of liquor consumption, and other issues.
On the last day of the camp Mock Assembly was conducted. The volunteers enacted various
roles of the ministers and members of legislative assembly and debated the social issues. Later
they participated in clean and green programme by removing the weeds and dust in the ST
Hostel premises which gave shelter to them during the camp period. The Vice Principal Ramesh,
the IQAC Coordinator Dr. A. Srinath, , and the faculty members G. Gajanan, Dr. J. Lakan Singh,
Dr. I. Shivanagasrinu, Rajeeru, Narender, Sammaiah, Tyagaiah, Dr. T. Sumathi, G. Prasoona,
Dr. Kumaraswamy, A.O. Rasheed, Murali, Kamalakar, and others attended the camp by sharing
the programmes and the schedule.
