First, let's start with a basic definition:

Interjections are exclamatory words that express strong emotion.

Interjections have no other grammatical connection with or relationship to the rest of the sentence.

What is an Interjection?An interjection is a word added to a sentence to convey emotion. It is not grammatically related to any other part of the sentence.
