ABOUT USState Bicycle Co. is a rider-developed company, founded in 2009. State Bicycle Co. specializes in single-speed/xed gear bicycles, components, accessories and clothing. With an active and robust social-media presence, highly deco-rated international race team, and consistent engagement in the cycling community, State Bicycle Co. has engrained itself as an integral mainstay in the industry. Our mission is simple; make the most attractive, high quality and smooth-riding single bicycles/components at the lowest price possible.

At the end of the day, our favorite thing is to see our cus-tomers riding, enjoying, and loving their bicycles. That’s why social media is such an integral part of our marketing and customer engagement. People love their bikes, and love sharing their cycling experiences with friends and family via instagram, facebook, twitter, strava, etc. Seeing the positive reactions to our newest colorways, planning and coordinat-ing group rides and races, and showing our fans what the State Bicycle Co. Team is up to is one of the most import-ant parts of our company, and what sets us apart from the competition.

FIXED GEAR &SINGLESPEEDThe $449 Core Line models are the foundation of the State Bicycle Co. line-up. All models come with 4130 grade Cromoly steel; the lightest and strongest steel in cycling. Each bike comes with 43mm deep-v style wheels, a ip-op hub (for xed or freewheel riding), and quality, durable components.

Each model comes with the choice of 4 handlebar styles and 6 frame sizes to make sure you get the exact bicycle you've been dreaming of.

All Core Line models are designed with unique color ways to give each model it's own identity and style. These color ways are produced in limited quantities before being retired for good — most color ways last for 6 months to 1 year before they are retired.

Were there reasons you switched from one brand over to State Bicycle instead? After much debate, as any buyer/stockist should undergo, I decided to bring in State Bikes to the selection offered by Ace Metric Cycles in Central Florida. The [SBC] guys are a pleasure to work with and under-stood my thoroughness and stringent process in aligning the shop with any particular brand of bikes- as we strive to provide the best in class bike no matter the style.

ment in DIY racing worldwide and their continuing dedication to bring

quality bikes to market at affordable prices. For any new shop looking to stock these categories, State simply must be considered.

Do you prefer the quality of our prod-uct?The State bikes get a big nod of approval for each model and their respective price point with our person-al favorite, the cromoly/carbon Con-tender packaged nicely at $650.

The State Bicycle Co. Contender is the "step-up" from our core line models. It features the same 4130 chromoly steel frame as our core line models, but is upgraded with a carbon ber fork with aluminum steer tube, for decreased weight and improved handling.

The crank has been upgraded as well, to a SRAM S100 track crank, with Truvativ Powerspline bottom bracket. The wheels of the Contender show off with a smooth, sealed bearing hub to maximize momentum and protection from dirt and grit. The frameset is tied

together with a sealed bearing FSA MX Orbit headset for the best steering possible. The nal upgrade on the Contender is the aerodynamic "race saddle" upgrade from the core model.

The contender is one of the best selling State Bicycle Co. models in history, now available in 5 colorways.

Do you appreciate the ease of working with us?The B2B website is amazing!Easy to place orders, check inventory, and recall past invoices. The sales staff (Adam) is quick to respond and on top of everything. Were there reasons you switched from one brand over to State Bicycle instead? We tested out a couple models, and the product practically sold itself! All their marketing efforts

have equated to one of the leading brands in our niche market.

Were there any reservations you had about our brand initially that we were able to smooth over for you?State Bicycle denitely has above par quality product; and we were initially skeptical about their retail price. But surprisingly, the product

Phoenix, Arizona – Home of blazing 120 degree summers, harsh and forbidding desert terrain, aggressive wildlife, and an avid cycling communi-ty. This is the town where State Bicy-cle Co. was founded and where we proudly continue to operate. Created by cyclists in 2009, we are fully engrained in the cycling culture of Phoenix and the surrounding cities.

So in July of 2014, when we decided to host a group ride, what better challenge for local riders than an eight mile climb in the midday heat?

Participants met at the base of South Mountain at high noon, and rode at their own pace to the summit, over 1,500 feet up in elevation. Some stopped for water at the various stations along the way, but the lead group pushed through the misery for a chance to claim the coveted jersey atop the mountain.

The ride was a success, and just one of the many examples of events and rides put on by State Bicycles in the valley of the sun. We’re committed to making this city a great place to be a xed gear cyclist, and are looking forward to hosting another ride next year.

If you had a friend opening up a shop, why should they carry State Bicycle products? State Bicycle products are the best bang for your buck, the quality is good, the style is great and customers love them.

Do you appreciate the ease of work-ing with us? Yes, I do appreciate the ease of working with State Bicycle. I like the one on one interaction I have with one sales rep, Adam, vs. calling and getting someone new each time.I also, enjoy the patience State Bicycle Co. had with us while we relocated shops.

Were there reasons you switched from one brand over to State Bicy-cle instead? I decided to carry State Bicycle over other brands because I like the reputation of the brand and the support State Bicycle provides for the end user. The style and quality of their bikes are also, on point.

Were there any reservations you had about our brand initially that we were able to smooth over for you? Prior to using State Bicycle Co, I was not sure why I should go with State vs. the other brands. The price point was about the same and the style of bike was similar to competi-tive brands but after researching State Bicycle Co. and seeing how hands-on they are with getting a good solid product out the door was important to us as well.

Are you happy with our level of service? I am very happy with the service we have received. We have only had a few issues in the past and State Bicycle Co was able to work through the issue with us. They have always stand behind their product. Do you prefer the quality of our product?Yes, I trust the quality of the product State puts out. We have experienced some issues with the frames (ie the rear end was out of alignment). However, State were professional about the issues and issued a call tag, no questions asked.

We’ve worked with brands like Uber, The Hundreds, Reed Space, Vossen, Four Peaks Brewing Compa-ny, and Wutang to name a few.

Each collaboration is different and designed especially with the collabo-rator in mind. Be sure to keep an eye out for the many collabs we have on the way!

Each year, Red Bull’s Ride + Style event features xed-gear riders facing off in both track and freestyle competi-tions, with obstacles and ramps designed and decorated by iconic street artists. In the past, this event has brought together more than 50 riders from both coasts, including riders from such xed-gear meccas as San Francisco, Portland, New York and even Japan.

In addition to sponsoring the event, State Bicycle Company sent our team riders to participate in the race por-tion. Reigning champion, Jason Clary, as well as Hernan Montenegro, Myles Morales, Thomas Keating, Russ

Laeur, and Hacheon Park all faced off against top xed gear cyclists from around the world at San Francisco's Justin Herman Plaza. The blend of xed freestyle, track racing and street art drew riders from as far away as Korea and Thailand to battle for the top spots.

The day started off on the track course with dozens of guys pushing hard for the number one spot. Despite stellar riding by our team, only Hern was able to beat his competitors and progress to the semi-nals.

Duking it out for third place against pro freestyle rider Kenny Arimoto,

State Bicycles' Hernan Montenegro took the number three spot on the podium. Ultimately, Addison Zawada narrowly beat out Matt Reyes for rst place. The neck-and-neck race for rst came down to a pedal slip, afford-ing Zawada the 1st place nish.

Not only did the State Bicycles team have a blast competing against some

of the fastest and most skilled riders from around the world, but SBC also got an opportunity to support and encourage the growing xed gear scene.
