Nature puts on a fabulous display when springtime returns here in the Tirolean Alps. Trees reveal their vi-brant new leaves, crocus, narcissus and tulip unfurl their petals in sunshine which melts the last of winter’s snow. Animals emerge from their winter burrows and you may glimpse them as you go hiking in the mountains.
You are holding a piece of springtime in your hands with this edition of the Interalpen magazine, because it’s not just nature having a spring clean. We are prepar-ing a bright bouquet of attractions to make your holiday with us unforgettable. Our Gault-Millau Guide award-winning head chef Christoph Zangerl and his kitchen team are preparing to serve exquisite dishes right before your eyes at our kitchen party. Other special highlights of the summer include the Interalpen-Cabriolet rally, the Interalpen-Classic car days and our golf tournaments.
Our spring cleaning this year includes a striking renovation of our 50 metre indoor pool. This new show-piece of our leisure facilities is being created during April and May this year and in the meantime you can already enjoy newly refurbished peace and relaxation areas. During work on the pool, our spacious Spa and Ti-rolean sauna village are of course open as usual.
Surrounded by a magnificent mountain panorama, green slopes and lush forests, Seefeld-Wildmoos Golf Club is no longer a well kept secret. As a member of the “Leading Golf Courses of Austria”, the 18-hole course, with its varied course architecture and breath-taking views, is a fascinating challenge for both pros and amateurs.
A new path has been carved through the forest and it is now just a 900 metre walk from the Inter alpen-Hotel Tyrol to the golf course. The path runs from the hotel’s tennis courts through the trees directly to the clubhouse and the Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol now runs a shuttle ser-vice, so that guests can get to and

Our guests can now reach Seefeld-Wildmoos Golf Club in no time at all by taking the shuttle buggy along a newly created path directly to the course, which is the venue for the Interalpen-Golf Trophy once again this year.

The Interalpen-Golf Trophy is one of the highlights of the season
In the early morning, when dew is still sparkling on the flowers and grasses, or in the warm sunshine of a spring afternoon, our Alpine garden is a lovely place to stroll or just sit and relax. The garden’s beauty and its stunning views of the Tirolean Alps have a calming effect on its visitors. It’s peaceful here amongst the gingko trees and the borders of Alpine roses, edelweiss and gentian, with plenty of quiet corners to sit. People like to en-joy a cup of coffee here or settle down with a good book.
Our gardener Stefan Mair is some-times asked how he manages to grow so many varieties of plants here, and he is always ready to share his knowledge and experience. Orchids should not be planted in garden soil, but in a special substratum, while alchemillas need moisture above all else. Stefan pays great attention to setting out his plants in pleas-ing combinations so that the garden forms a harmonious whole. It’s clear that he puts not only a great deal of work, but creative energy into our Alpine garden.

Tirolean Legends
The Ropferhof was once a smugglers’ inn
The Ropferstub’m is an idyllic country inn, set between mountain and forest, and not far from the Inter-alpen-Hotel Tyrol. The Ropferhof was built in the 18th century and was a notorious smugglers’ inn at the turn of the 20th century. The family who now own the farmhouse have restored the building with much love and at-tention to detail: its original vaulted cellar, historic stone walls and sim-ple decor make the Ropferstub’m one of the most attractive country inns in the region.
The Ropferstub’m kitchen serves Tirolean and Austrian specialities, as well popular Italian dishes and most of the produce is supplied by the region’s farmers and market gardeners. This delicious food is served in the charm-ing Stub’m or out on the sun terrace, which affords a magnificent view of Mieminger Plateau and the Inn Valley.
Befitting such a popular destina-tion for a day trip, the menu includes hearty platters for hikers and cyclists.

The new swimming pool will be the jewel in our crown. A taste of good things to come, illustrated by our architect
During the period 9 – 31 May 2011 our swimming pool is closed due to renovation work. However all
the Spa treatment rooms, the saltwater grotto, and saunas are open as normal.
Wellness Arrangement
More peaceful, more comfortable, more relaxing. The Panorama pool has always been a great attraction, but after its current redesign, we are sure that even more guests will de-clare it their favourite place in the hotel.
The new look will be achieved with natural materials, mainly wood and stone from the local region. So the swimming pool and its surroundings will be completely in harmony with the Tirolean scenery, which our guests can enjoy through the panorama win-dows. You can lie back in one of sev-
eral quiet rooms with a view of Alpine peaks, and feel as if you are floating on an idyllic mountain lake. The pool itself will be as large as ever, but with improved definition. The swimming lanes and the children’s pool will be more separate from the main pool, so that everyone can enjoy the pool as they wish: children can splash about in their own area, serious swimmers can concentrate on their lengths, and guests who just want a leisurely swim will have a large section just for them. For serious relaxation, you can retreat into the two new pool niches; the per-fect hideaway.

Recommendations of the house
While other boys dreamt of being a policeman or fireman, Andreas Pfingstl discovered his in-terest in gastronomy at an early age. He wanted to wear a chef’s to-que and be a pastry chef: pleasures of the palate have always played an important part in his development.
After training at the School of Tourism in Bad Gleichenberg he ventured out into the world of gas-tronomy and joined MS Europa, one of the most acclaimed luxury cruise ships. He eventually retur-ned to terra firma and took a pos-ition at the Interalpen-Hotel Ty-rol. It was here that he developed a passion for wine and completed training in Innsbruck as a master sommelier.
“Today I am very happy that I chose this path”, says Andreas Pfingstl. “I am proud to work with a young and enthusiastic service team and always delighted every time a guest asks me to discuss the wine list and chooses a bottle on my personal recommendation.”
