UVODNIK / INTRODUCTION

Dear friends,I am pleased to welcome you in the first pages of issue 11 of InterAdria Magazine, by which we open the door of new nautical season.

Our optimism does not fade. Our wish to succeed, our strong belief that our ideas can become reality, the support we get from our professional employees and business partners, keep us sailing with our sails wide open.

We percieve our continuous investments into the education and the professional development of our employees as one of the main priorities of the progress. Our dedicated work and effort we put as the authorised Volvo Penta service was confirmed by the successful audit conducted in September 2014 by VOLVO PENTA EAST EUROPE.

In this issue we present you new extended InterAdria Mem-bers Card loyalty program within which the owners of a Sessa boat get the additional benefits when using our services. We use this opportunity to invite all Sessa boat owners who do not have InterAdria Members Card to contact us so that we can include them in our loyalty program.

The owners of Sessa boats and those who buy Yamaha out-board in InterAdria can use many benefits this season if they arrange the insurance policy in InterAdria SC Plus. In the next few pages we bring more details.

As always, in this issue we bring some advices for the sails-men to help them have their staying at boat more pleasant. This time we wrote about the preparation of a boat for nauti-cal season and about the importance of having the proper medical kit on board, which our customers support team can assist with.

The best way to explore the beauties of the Kvarner bay, its inlets and islands, is certainly in navigation. For those who do not own a boat, but who would like to navigate, and for those who are intending to buy a vessel, but who are still in search of the most adequate one, InterAdria SC additionaly extended „Try and Buy“ offer this season in our service center in ACI marini Opatija, Ičići. Edukacija djelatnika - jedan od osnovnih prioriteta napretkaInterAdria SC razvoj svojih zaposlenika vidi kao jedan od svo-jih osnovnih prioriteta napretka, te stoga konstantno ulaže u njihovu edukaciju. Edukacije su prilagođene svakom zapo-sleniku u skladu s njegovim radnim mjestom i njegovim ra-zvojnim putem unutar tvrtke, a sastoje se od raznih treninga, seminara, radionica i raznih e-tečajeva.Zimski period stvoren je za upoznavanje tržišnih novosti što je servisni team InterAdrije iskoristio te odradio nekoliko se-minara i edukacija svojih principala.Početkom ožujka 2015.g. kolege Zoran Purić i Jasmin Ahmić uspješno su završili edukaciju Volvo Penta IPS sustava. Nagla-sak seminara bio je na IPS dizajnu i njegovu funkcioniranju dok je praktični dio treninga bio vezan za spajanje i autokon-figuraciju EVC sustava na IPS.Nedugo nakon toga u Zagrebu je održan servisni seminar za Yamaha YDIS 2.2 elektroničku dijagnostiku, RIDE i LAN susta-ve, zaštitu od korozije te Nanoxcel popravke. Naš mehaničar Zoran Purić prošao je kompletno školovanje te se upoznao sa novinama u procesu održavanja novih sustava motora, kao i novim pristupom dijagnostici postojećih modela.Voditelj servisnog centra Damir Dubrović tjedan dana u ožuj-ku proveo je na Yanmar tehničkom treningu u Almeri, Nizo-zemskoj. Ondje je predstavljen dijagnostički sustav za novu seriju JH-CR motora. Izvršena je i prezentacija iznimno kori-snog SA-D (Smart Assist) alata za dijagnostiku s ciljem po-stizanja veće optimizacije procesa otkrivanja kvarova za sve nove Yanmar common rail modele.InterAdria SC izrazito je ponosna na činjenicu da su njezini zaposlenici prepoznali sustav kontinuirane edukacije kao izuzetno važan element njihova razvojnog puta, te da se sa zadovoljstvom odazivaju na edukativne akcije.

Employees education - one of the basic priorities of the development

InterAdria SC believes the constant development of the em-ployees is one of the basic prerequisites of the company’s development, and has been continuously investing in their education. The educations are chosen in accordance with the employee’s working place and the employee’s development path within the company, and consist of trainings, seminars, workshops and e-courses.The winter is a period for becoming familiar with the novel-ties on the market; InterAdria SC service team used the op-portunity to participate at seminars and education courses organized from the part of principals.At the beginning of March 2015, our colleagues Zoran Purić and Jasmin Ahmić successfully completed Volvo Penta IPS systems education. It dealt with the IPS design and functi-on , while the practise was dedicated to the connection and auto-configuration of EVC system to IPS.Few days later, the seminar for Yamaha YDIS 2.2 electronics diagnostics, RIDE and LAN systems, anti-corrosion protecti-on, and Nanoxcel repairs was held in Zagreb. Our mechanic Zoran Purić attended the education and became acquainted with the novelties in the new engine systems maintenance, and new access to the diagnostics of the existing models. The service team manager, Damir Dubrović, spent a week on the Yanmar technical training in Almera, Netherlands. There a diagnostic system for new line of JH-CR engines was pre-sented, as well as very useful SA-D (Smart Assist) tools for op-timisation of the malfunction diagnostics and more prompt reaction for all new Yanmar common rail models.InterAdria SC is very proud that the employees recognised the system of continuous education as a very important part of their development, and most readily accept the invitations to participate.

BIG BLUE 2015 is the name of this year’s campaign and it will last from 30 March till 31 July.This year, the campaign is extended to the skipper’s liability insurance, it is valid in Mediterranean waters, and those who decide to rent the boat can additionaly arrange the popular charter deposit insurance. As before, those who arrange the full hull insurance and the optional third party liability insurance policy get SEA HELP membership card for free, now for the vessels over 120.000,00 kn in value. InterAdria SC recognized the importance of young people education, and supported the “FIRST AID BASICS” project organized by Independent Workers Union of Croatian Mi-nistery of Internal Affairs.

The intention of the project is to highlight the neccessity of training young people to be able to control and improve the-ir own health and health of other people, emphasizing res-ponsibility towards all members of the society.

The educational newsletter will be distributed to encourage people to act more responsibly in order to prevent accidents and injuries, to improve the safety within society and to stren-ghten the individuals in order to prepare the society for easier recovery from accidents and illness. This is the kind of educa-tion that can save your life and lives of people around you.

This way adolescents learn how to become more responsible citizen, how to practice first aid and save someone’s life.

“FIRST AID BASICS” Educational campaign

Tvrtka InterAdria SC prepoznala je važnost edukacije mla-dih, te je podržala projekt „OSNOVE PRVE POMOĆI“ u orga-nizaciji Nezavisnog sindikata djelatnika Ministarstva unu-tarnjih poslova Republike Hrvatske.

Projektom se želi ukazati na nužnost osposobljavanja mladih ljudi za kontrolu i unapređivanje vlastitog i tuđeg zdravlja, uz naglasak na veću odgovornost prema svim članovima zajed-nice.

Kroz edukativnu brošuru želi se potaknuti osobe na odgovor-no ponašanje s ciljem sprečavanja nastanka nesreća i ozljeda, doprinijeti sigurnosti zajednice i osnažiti pojedince kako bi cijela zajednica lakše prevladala štetne posljedice nesreća i bolesti.

Kroz ovaj oblik edukacije stječu se znanja koja vama i vašim bližnjima mogu spasiti život.

Adolescenti na ovaj način uče kako biti odgovorniji građanin, na koji način pružiti prvu pomoć i nekome spasiti život.

Kastafsko kulturno leto (�6. lipnja - ��. kolovoza �01�.)Udruga Kastafsko kulturno leto već više od 15 godina uspješ-no organizira istoimeni festival, čime se nastavlja tradicija koncepta ljetnog kulturnog programa u Kastvu. Proteklih je godina u Kastvu nastupalo više tisuća izvođača iz raznih ze-malja, a programe je posjetilo oko stotinu tisuća posjetitelja i posjetiteljica. Kombinacija folk kulture, tradicijske kulture i su-vremenih trendova čini vrlo važan aspekt svakodnevne kultu-re i društvenog života u Kastvu.

Ovogodišnji program Kastafskog kulturnog leta započinje 26. lipnja svečanim otvorenjem uz nastup etno sastava Cin-kuši, a završava već tradicionalnim Čansonfestom 28. kolovo-za. U 2 mjeseca programa kastavsku publiku i ostale goste očekuju dramski, gazbeni, književni, filmski, dječji i izložbeni program, festival gitare te tri potpuno besplatne radionice (radionica kreativnog pisanja, radionica sviranja gitare te ra-dionica glume). Među ostalima, na 24. Kastafskom kulturnom letu nastupit će GD Spinčići, Neno Belan, Muška klapa Kastav, Let 3, Mirjana Bobuš i Pape, Vatra, Amira Medunjanin, a bit će prikazane predstave Plemena (Teatar Exit/Planet Art), Ha-rem (Kazalište Moruzgva), Gde su kokoške? (Monika Romić, Tatjana Kecman), Duhi (Katedra Čakavskog sabora Kostrena). Uz spomenute dramske predstave očekuju nas i 2 besplatne predstave namijenjene najmlađoj publici, Bajka o ribaru i ri-bici (Dječje kazalište Smješko) te Dječak koji je tražio zmaja (Scena Gorica). Na 18. Internacionalnom Festivalu gitare na-stupit će Damir Kukuruzović Django group & friends, Fogg Painters, Wolfgang Puschin, Gerbaz giipuja i Elvis Stanić. Uz bogati glazbeni i dramski program, posjetitelji i posjetiteljice će moći prisustvovati 3. Danima književnosti uz druženje s nekima od najboljih naših književnika i književnica te besplat-no uživati u programu Kina Mediteran na Crekvini.

�4th Kastav Cultural Summer (�6th June - ��th August �01�)Kastav Cultural Summer Association has been successfully organizing the homonymous festival for over 15 years. Du-ring this time we hosted several thousand performers from all over the world, and a few houndred thousand visitors. The combination of folk culture, traditional events and contem-porary trends is an important aspect of everyday culture and social life in Kastav.

This year’s festival programme starts on the 26th of June with the performance of the folk group Cinkuši, and it ends on the 28th of August with the traditional Čansonfest. In the 2 mon-ths between, the visitors can expect theater, music, literature, film and exhibition events, children’s programme, a guitar fe-stival and 3 completely free workshops (creative writing, guitar playing, acting). Plovilo za sva godišnja doba Dorado 22 idealna je kombinacija fishermana spremnog za plovidbu i ribolov u gotovo svim vremenskim uvjetima i komfornog obiteljskog plovila za višednevna krstarenja. Ovo kompaktno, robustno i iznimno praktično plovilo zadivit će i zahtjevnije moreplovce.

Kabina Dorada 22 pravo je remek djelo funkcionalnosti i udobnosti. Prostor je tako dizajniran da se malim intervenci-jama u času pretvara iz prostora pregledne pilotske kabine u udoban salon s kuhinjom.

Na samom ulazu u kabinu, s lijeve strane smještena je prostra-na sofa u obliku slova L koja u kombinaciji s pomičnim stolom tvori salon idelan za objedovanje ili lagodno popodnevno druženje u zaklonu od sunca. Nasuprot sofi nalazi se skrivena kuhinja koja u samo nekoliko laganih poteza otkriva sve svoje mogućnosti. The cabin of Dorado 22 is a masterpiece of functionality and comfort. The space is designed to transform in only few steps from the pilot’s cabin into a galley with a kitchen.

At the cabin’s entrance, to the left there is a large L sofa which in combination with a flexible table becomes a dining room or a lounge area for afternoon parties in the shade. Opposite of the sofa, there is a hidden kitchen which reveals its full fun-ctionality in only few moves. Thera are fridge, sink and stove, i.e. all that is needed for preparing a light meal on board.

Poznati riječki brodograditelj Davor Dika već 4 godine vodi Gumicentar servis za plovila u Marini Lošinj. U 20-metarskoj grijanoj hali vršimo popravke i preinake plovila, bojanje i antiosmotsku zaštitu, te pjeskarenje oplate (sistem staklo-voda). In the 20 metres heated hall we provide the service of repair and modification of the vessels, painting and antifoul-ing, and sandblasting (glass-water system). The final stage is the professional polishing of all the surfaces on the vessel. The access to the service center by sea (44˚32,6 ‘N - 14˚28,0 ‘E) is very simple due to the 50 t travel lift.

Preparation of the Vessel for the

Navigation Season

Svako plovilo bez obzira bilo ono novo ili već korišteno iziskuje pravilno održavanje i ulaganja koja će ga održati „u formi“. Pravilno održavanje plovila iznimno je važno i za sigurnost same plovidbe i bezbrižan boravak na moru.

Kvarovi se izbjegavaju, ili barem svode na minimum redov-nim održavanjem, čemu svakako u najvećem dijelu doprinosi kvalitetna priprema plovila za plovidbu.

Donosimo vam pregled osnovnih točaka na koje treba obra-titi pažnju prilikom proljetne pripreme plovila za novu nau-tičku sezonu.

PROVJERA STANJA TRUPA

U zimskom periodu raste rizik od negativnih posljedica vre-menskih uvjeta na plovilo. Jedna od osjetljivijih točaka plo-vila na koji treba obratiti pažnju je sam trup plovila, što zbog izloženosti potencijalnim mehaničkim oštećenjima, što zbog kemijskih karakteristika samih materijala od kojih je naprav-ljen. Oštećenja trupa nisu rijetkost, stoga na svakom plovilu bez obzira je li prezimilo u moru ili na kopnu valja detaljno provjeriti ako trup ima mjehurića, deformacija i pukotina, te provjeriti nepropusnost bočnih i palubnih prozora. Ukoliko se pojave mjehurići ili napuknuća na trupu valja se obratiti stručnjacima i sanirati puknuća kako ne bi došlo do većih pro-blema. Each vessel, new or used, requires adequate maintenance and investments to stay “in shape”. The appropriate main-tenance is extremely important for the safe navigation and pleasant stay at sea.

Damages can be prevented, or reduced at least, by regular maintentace. The preparation of a vessel for navigation is of crucial importance.

Below you can find a list of the most important points to be checked during spring preparation of the vessel for the new nautical season.

HULL CONTROLDuring winter the risk of negative weather condition consequ-ences grows. The hull is one of the most sensitive parts of the vessel to be checked. Apart from being exposed to the risk of possible mechanical damages, its chemical structure also ma-kes it vulnerable. Hull damages are not a rarity, therefore every vessel regardless of staying in water or being lifted at dry dock during winter, must be checked for possible hull damages in shape of blisters, deformations or crackings. The waterproofne-ss of all side and deck window panes must be controlled. If the blisters or crackings appear, it is important to engage the profe-ssionals for repair in order to avoid furhter problems. Osim nadgrađa plovila tijekom proljetne pripreme za plovid-bu vrlo je važno zaštititi podvodni dio trupa plovila antive-getativnim premazom. Osim što štiti od algi antivegetativni premaz ima izravan utjecaj na performanse plovila, stoga ga ne smijemo zanemarivati.

PROVJERA POGONSKOG SUSTAVA

Predsezonsko vrijeme najbolje je razdoblje za redovan ser-vis motora plovila: izmjenu ulja, svjećica, impelera i svih do-trajalih filtera i istrošenih anoda. Uz provjeru tankova goriva potrebno je provjeriti i tankove pitke vode. Valja ih napuniti i provjeriti pravilno funkcioniranje sustava protoka vode.

PROVJERA ELEKTRONIČKIH SKLOPOVA

Utjecaj vlage i soli može biti poguban za instalacije, stoga je periodična kontrola elektroničkih sklopova nužna. Provjera elektroničkih sklopova obuhvaća provjeru svih instrumenata, radio uređaja i rasvjete. Važan element ovog ispitivanja je i provjera stanja akumulatora i njihova nadopuna. Akumula-tore koji su tijekom zime bili odspojeni, a ipak su se osjetno ispraznili najbolje je odmah zamijeniti. Također treba provje-riti spojeve kabela za obalni priključak struje, te napraviti test

antifouling. The antifouling protects from the seaweed, but it also has direct impact on the performance of the vessel so it should not be neglected.

DRIVE SYSTEM CONTROL

Spring is the ideal period for the regular maintenance of the vessel’s engine: oil replacement, sparking plugs, impellers, worn out filters and anodes. It is necessary to control both fuel tanks and fresh water tanks. They should be refilled and their proper functioning must be controlled.

ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLY CONTROL

Humidity and salt might destroy the installations, therefore the periodic control of the electronic assembly is required. The control must include all instruments, radio devices and lights. Batteries must also be checked and refilled if necces-sary. The batteries that have been disconnected during win-ter, and still emptied, should be replaced immediately. Sho-re cable connections must also be checked; smoke, carbon monoxide and steam tests conducted. The bilge pump, float switch and bilge alarms must also be controled. In case of any

TENDE I POKRIVKE

Vremenske prilike zimi - kiša i snažan vjetar u kombinaciji sa soli nepovoljno utječu na materijale od kojih su sačinjene tende i pokrivke. Prvi na udaru neprilika su zatvarači na na-vlakama i tendama. Bez obzira jesu li metalni ili plastični na-kon nekog vremena počnu zapinjati, što dovodi do pucanja. Stoga je uputno provjeriti stanje pokrivki i izvršiti popravke istrošenih dijelova kako ne bi došlo do daljnjih oštećenja.

NAVIGACIJSKA I SIGURNOSNA OPREMA

Prije kretanja na more potrebno je pregledati bokobrane, užad za vezanje i sidrenje. Ukoliko postoji sumnja u dotraja-lost bokobrana i užadi za privez najsigurnije ih je zamijeniti. Pažnju valja posvetiti sidrenom lancu i konopu. Ukoliko je pocinčani lanac na mjestima korodirao, valja ga odmah za-mijeniti. Uputno je izvršiti i provjeru rada vinčeva, naročito si-drenog. Njihovo redovno održavanje znatno im produži vijek trajanja.

Ažuriranje i provjera sadržaja kutije prve pomoći ne smije se zanemariti. Važno je provjeriti i datume trajnosti na bakljama, splavima za spašavanje i protupožarnim aparatima. Pojasevi za spašavanje trebaju biti u dobrom stanju i primjerene veliči-ne za sve članove posade uključujući i djecu.

COVERS

Winter weather conditions - rain and strong wind and salt - have most negative influence on the cover tissues. The most exposed are the zippers. Metal or plastic, zippers will get stuck, and break. Therefore, the covers’ condition must be checked and neccessary repairs done in order to avoid larger damage.

NAVIGATION AND SAFETY EQUIPMENT

Before navigation, the fenders, moorings and anchoring ropes must be controled. If the fenders and moorings are worn out, they must be replaced. The achor chain and rope need special attention. If the zinc coated chain corroded, it must be replaced at once. The winches, anchor winch in the first place, must also be checked. If controled regulary, they will last longer.

The medical kit update and content control must not be ne-glected. Validity dates must also be checked on the torches, life rafts and fire extinguishers. Life belts must be in good conditi-on and adequate for all crew members, including children.

Izabela joined InterAdria SC tim in 2008 as charter manager. Since then she has been in charge of a number of business operations, and now she deals with the challenges of the spa-re parts department manager position. Her basic duties are the operational tasks of making orders and purchasing the spare parts, customers reception, consulting and assistance with the purchase of the equipment required by the the Cro-atian Register of Shipping prior to inscription and issuing the certificate for navigation. Izabela also notes the customer’s orders and forwards them to the service team accordingly, she is in charge for the warranties issues and many other daily tasks that might seem irrelevant but have the great impact on the optimal efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Apart from her daily duties in the service center, supervising and record keeping of the safety at work and environmental protection, Izabela is the certified internal auditor of the ISO quality control thus having one of the most responsible roles in its implementation and conduction.

BRODSKA LJEKARNA MEDICAL KIT ON THE VESSELDobro opremljena, redovito provjeravana i popunjavana

brodska ljekarna može biti od ključne važnosti u slučaju ne-sreće, no ona mora biti u skladu sa Pravilnikom o minimalnim zahtjevima i uvjetima pružanja medicinske skrbi na brodovi-ma, brodicama i jahtama („Narodne novine“ broj 14/08), koji je usklađen s propisima Svjetske zdrastvene organizacije i Među-narodne pomorske organizacije.

Razvoj medicine i farmacije tijekom stoljeća imao je utjecaja na zdravstvenu zaštitu i skrb na brodovima, o čemu svjedoče brojni dokumenti. Već su stari Grci i Rimljani na većim brodo-vima imali liječnike koji su liječili oboljele i ozlijeđene morna-re. Pri pojavi bolesti odmah se nastojalo izolirati oboljele da se zaraza ne proširi, te određenim lijekovima ublažiti njihovo stanje. Stoga je svaki brod morao imati svoju ljekarnu u obliku škrinje ili sanduka u kojemu su se držala sredstva za liječenje i pružanje pomoći.

Sredinom 19. stoljeća pojavljuju se prvi međunarodni ugo-vori koji se odnose na sigurnost plovidbe i zdravstvenu skrb. Danas je na snazi međunarodna konvencija o sigurnosti na moru iz 1912.g. „Safety Of Life At Sea“ - poznate kao SOLAS koju poštuje oko 98 posto svjetske flote.

Godine 1967. izdan je prvi Međunarodni medicinski vodič za brodove “International medical Guide for Ships“ - priručnik koji je primjer medicinske skrbi na brodovima, a preveden je na 30 jezika.

Well furnished, regularly checked and refurnished medical kit on the vessel will have the main role in the case of the acci-dent, but it must respect the Regulations for the minimal re-quirements and medical care conditions for the ships, boats and yachts („Narodne novine“ No. 14/08), in accordance with the World Health Organisation and International Maritime Organisation regulations.

Development of the medicine and pharmacy during cen-turies influenced the social care and the care on the ships, which many documents can witness. Ancient Greeks and Romans used to have doctors on their larger ships to take care of the ill and injured sailors. Immediately after the illness broke out, the contaminated were insulated in order to pre-vent the illness from spreading, and the medical drugs were used to relief the symptoms. Therefore, every ship must have had a medical kit stored in a case or box.

In the middle of the 19 century the first international con-tracts occur related to the navigation safety and health care. In 1912 the first international convention “Safety Of Life At Sea“ - today known as SOLAS - was adopted.

The SOLAS convention has been revised and updated few times, but it is still valid and respected by 98 percent of the world maritime fleet.

Taj je priručnik do sada doživio tri izdanja (posljednje 2007.). Sadržajem su preporučeni lijekovi za brodsku ljekarnu, nji-hova uporaba, doze za odrasle i mjere opreza te su posebno izdvojeni lijekovi za brodove koji prevoze opasan teret. Lista lijekova vodi se po generičkim imenima ili zaštićenim im-enima. Svako pakiranje lijeka mora biti označeno generičkim imenom, jediničnom dozom i rokom uporabe. Ako je oznaka na lijeku nečitljiva, ili ako se sadržaj pakiranja ne može utvrditi, lijek se mora uništiti. Nadzirani lijekovi (narkotici) moraju se čuvati zatvoreni u posebnom odjeljku i biti pod ključem.

SADRŽAJ BRODSKE LJEKARNE

Brodska ljekarna mora sadržavati ormarić s lijekovima koji sadrži lijekove i medicinsku opremu sukladno kategoriji plov-idbe. Na ormariću/kutiji s lijekovima mora se nalaziti popis lijekova koji se nalaze u ormariću/kutiji. O utrošenim lijeko-vima vodi se evidencija u kojoj se obvezno naznačuje količina utrošenog lijeka i količina lijeka koja je ostala u ormariću/kutiji s lijekovima.

Prilikom pregleda brodske ljekarne odnosno ormarića/kutije s lijekovima, ovlaštena osoba obvezna je utvrditi je li brodska ljekarna, ormarić/kutija s lijekovima opremljena lijekovima i medicinskom opremom sukladno kategoriji plovidbe, jesu li lijekovi i medicinska oprema ispravno pohranjeni te poštuju li se rokovi valjanosti lijekova.Pregled brodske ljekarne obavlja se jednom godišnje, a o obavljenom pregledu vodi se očevidnik ovisno o kategoriji plovidbe. Također, o obavljenom pregledu ovlaštena osoba izdaje potvrdu.

In 1967 the first tutorial “International medical Guide for Ships“ was published; this is an example of the medical care on the ships, and it has been translated into 30 languages.

It had three editions until now, the last in 2007. It recom-mends the content of the medical kit on the vessels, their use, dosage for the adults and special caution notes, with a special list of the medical drugs for the ships with dangerous goods. On every package there must be specification of the generic name, unit dosage and expiration date. If the note is not visible, or if the content cannot be defined, the medical drug must be destroyed. The medical drugs under supervi-sion ( narcotics ) must be stored in a separate compartment and locked.

THE MEDICAL KIT CONTENT

The medical kit on the vessels must have the case with the con-tent as requested in accordance with the navigation limits. On the top of the case the content must be specified. For the things that are used the record must be kept specifying the quantity being used and the quantity that is still available.

During the inspection of the medical kit content, the author-ized person is obliged to check whether the content meets the requested standards in accordance with the navigation limit, if the medical drugs and equipment are stored appropriately, and the expiration dates.

The medical kit inspection must be performed once a year, which is noted in a register depending of the navigation cat-egory. The authorized person then issues the medical kit cer-tificate.

Nakon ulaska Hrvatske u EU, otvara se mogućnost da vlasni-ci ili korisnici plovila koji viju stranu zastavu iznajmljuju svoja plovila što do tada nije bio slučaj. Pravila i propisi kojima je bila regulirana djelatnost čartera - iznajmljivanja plovila, odre-đivali su da se plovila koja se iznajmljuju u Republici Hrvatskoj moraju držati pod hrvatskom zastavom, te je tvrtka morala ishoditi koncesijsko odobrenje za obavljanje te djelatnosti za svaki objekt/plovilo posebno.

Danas se plovila mogu dati u najam na dva načina: jedno je iznajmljivanje plovila (jednodnevni izleti bez noćenja na plovilu) a druga vrsta je pružanje usluge smještaja na plovilu. Druga vrsta ima dvije podgrupe, i to sa profesionalnom posa-dom i bez posade.

To razvrstavanje je učinjeno iz sigurnosno - tehničkih potreba i odgovarajuće primjene poreza na dodanu vrijednost.

Svako tko iznajmljuje plovilo (veće ili manje) mora imati čarter kompaniju. Čarter kompanija je fizička ili pravna osoba koja je vlasnik ili korisnik plovila ili je od vlasnika ili korisnika teme-ljem pisanog ugovora preuzela odgovornost za upravljanje plovilom i koja je preuzimanjem takve odgovornosti preuzela ovlasti i odgovornosti propisane Pravilnikom o uvjetima za obavljanje djelatnosti iznajmljivanja plovila sa ili bez posade i pružanje usluge smještaja gostiju na plovilu i pozitivnim pro-pisima Republike Hrvatske koji se odnose na sigurnost plo-vidbe i zaštitu mora od onečišćenja.

Ako se radi o plovilima za koje nije potrebna profesionalna po-sada (to su uglavnom manja motorna plovila od 12 metara) čar-ter kompanija mora imati mjesto gdje prihvaća goste i jednog zaposlenika koji će te goste primiti i upoznati ih sa plovilom, provjeriti njihove pomorske dozvole, izvršiti prijavu boravka; ista mora imati računalo radi E-registracije kod ministarstva i slično.

Charter in Croatia Today

The accession of Croatia to the European Union opens up po-ssibility to the owners or users of the boats flying foreign flags of chartering their boats. Before, they were not allowed to do so. The rules and regulations that were applied to boat char-ters required that the boats chartered in the Republic of Croa-tia were registered under the Croatian flag and the company engaged in boat chartering had to procure concession appro-val to perform such activities for each individual facility/boat.

Today, boats may be chartered in two ways: one is when they are chartered for one day excursion without overnight stay, and another is to provide the services of accommodation on board. The latter is divided into two further subgroups: with professional crew or without it.

Such groups have been introduced for the purpose of im-plementing security and technical requirements and proper application of the value added tax.

Anyone chartering a boat (smaller or bigger) must have a charter company. A charter company is a natural or legal per-son owning or using a boat or assuming from the owner or user the responsibility, on the basis of a written agreement, of managing the boat. Taking such responsibility, the charter company also assumes the authorities and responsibilities governed by the applicable Ordinance on the conditions for the chartering of vessels with or without crew and the provi-sion of accommodation services on board and legal regulati-ons of the Republic of Croatia referring to marine safety and the protection of sea from pollution.

In case of the boats not requiring professional crew (these are in principle smaller motor boats not exceeding 12 meters in length), a charter company must have a location where it operates and must employ a person who in fact receives guests and gets them familiar with the boat, checks their ma-

potrebno jer se pretpostavlja da profesionalna posada to određuje na licu mjesta kada gosti dolaze.

Mi ćemo se fokusirati samo na zastave država EU.

Prije početka bavljenja čarterom, vlasnik ili korisnik plovila mora podnijeti pisani zahtjev za dodjelu korisničkog prava bavljenja čarterom Ministarstvu pomorstva, prometa i infra-strukture. Na taj način je on registriran i njegov je posao po-stao legalan.

To se čini posebnim obrascem koji zahtjeva slijedeće infor-macije:

a) dokaze da jahta ili brodica udovoljava statutarnim zahtje-vima najmanje u opsegu kako su propisani za jahte koje viju zastavu Republike Hrvatske (Pravila za statutarnu cer-tifikaciju jahti i brodica),

b) upisni list/dozvola za plovidbu (Seebrief, Ship Register),

c) zapisnik o zadnjem obavljenom tehničkom pregledu bro-da iz kojeg se mora jasno vidjeti mjesto, datum, opseg i rezultati pregleda te tko je pregled obavio, a ne stariji od 12 mjeseci,

d) polica osiguranja od odgovornosti za štete trećim osoba-ma koja pokriva i štetne događaje na području unutarnjih morskih voda i teritorijalnog mora Republike Hrvatske,

e) dokaz o uplati u iznosu od 200,00 kn za brodice; 350,00 kuna za jahte duljine do 24 metara; na žiro račun broj HR1210010051863000160 uz poziv na broj HR64 7005-1087-444 uz naznaku Pregled dokumentacije i opreme „Ime ili oznaka jahte/brodice“.

Jahta s profesionalnom posadom je jahta koja se iznajmljuje ili na kojoj se pruža usluga smještaja isključivo s članovima posade koji su s vlasnikom ili korisnikom jahte, odnosno čar-ter kompanijom sklopili ugovor o radu ili drugi ugovor kojim se uređuje odnos poslodavca i posloprimca u pogledu radnih uvjeta, naknada i obveza.

Po zaprimanju svih potrebnih dokumenata Ministarstvo će:

1. utvrditi da li su dokumentacija i opseg obavljenog teh-ničkog pregleda istovjetni zahtjevima koji su propisani za plovni objekt istih tehničkih karakteristika hrvatske zastave,

2. odrediti ovlaštenu osobu koja će pregledom utvrditi da li je plovni objekt opremljen sukladno Pravilima za statu-tarnu certifikaciju jahti i brodica, da li je stanje, kao i stanje glede obavljenih servisa opreme usklađeno s podacima iz dostavljenih dokumenata.

In case of a boat with a professional crew, this is not required because it is supposed that such professional crew does that on the spot upon the arrival of guests.

I will focus in this article on the boats flying the EU flags.

Before engaging in a charter business, an owner or user of a boat must make a written application for the approval of the right to engage in charter business to the Ministry of Mariti-me Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure. In such a way it beco-mes registered entity and its business becomes legal.

This is done by means of a special form requiring the fo-llowing information:

a) proof that a boat or yacht meets statutory requirements at least in the scope prescribed for the boats and yachts flying the Croatian flag (Rules for Statutory Certification of Boats and Yachts);

b) certificate of registry/navigation licence (“Seebrief”, Ship Registry);

c) record or report of the most recent technical inspection of the boat or yacht, which must not be older than 12 mon-ths, specifying the location, date, extent and results of the inspection, as well as who performed it;

d) third party liability insurance policy covering also harmful events in the internal waters and territorial seas of the Re-public of Croatia;

e) proof of payment in the amount of HRK 200.00 for bo-ats; HRK 350.00 for yachts of up to 24 meters in length; to the bank account number HR1210010051863000160, with the transaction code HR64 7005-1087-444and desi-gnation “Inspection of documentation and equipment of ‘Name or identification of yacht/boat’“.

A yacht manned with professional crew is a yacht that is char-tered or where the accommodation services are provided exclusively with crew members hired under the employment or other contracts entered into with such yacht’s owner or user or a charter company in order to regulate the relation-ship between employer and employee in terms of work con-ditions, compensations and responsibilities.

Following the receipt of all necessary documentation, the Ministry will:

Pregled će se u pravilu obaviti najkasnije prije početka obavlja-nja čarter usluge iz prve hrvatske polazišne luke. Točno mjesto i vrijeme pregleda utvrdit će se s čarter kompanijom.

3. Ukoliko su ispunjeni svi tehnički preduvjeti plovnom objektu bit će izdana potvrda/zapisnik o obavljenom teh-ničkom pregledu jahte/brodice za gospodarske namjene s rokom valjanosti od godinu dana.

Kada tehnički pregled stranog plovnog objekta nije obavljen od strane pomorske administracije čiju zastavu vije, u Repu-blici Hrvatskoj isti mogu obaviti:

1. za brodice - lučka kapetanija ili ispostava lučke kapetanije na čijem se području brodica nalazi;

2. za jahte - Hrvatski registar brodova u Splitu

Osnovno je da vlasnici plovila ili njihova plovila koja nisu iz EU se mogu baviti čarterom samo ako je plovilo dulje od 40 metara, uz posebno dopuštenje Ministarstva.

PDV na čarter usluge

Osim što je došlo do samih promjena u načinu pribavljanja dozvola za obavljanje čarter djelatnosti u Hrvatskoj, došlo je i do izmjena u načinu obračuna PDV-a na čarter usluge. Svaka čarter kompanija koja ima sjedište u jednoj od članica EU, te želi pružati uslugu čartera plovila na području RH, obvezna je registrirati se za potrebe PDV-a u Hrvatskoj, te na tako pru-žene usluge obračunati hrvatski PDV u iznosu od 13%. Uvr-štenje u sustav PDV-a se radi preko obrasca porezne uprave te se dobiva OIB (porezni broj). Ukoliko se iznajmljuje manje plovilo bez korištenja noćenja, onda je PDV 25%

Ukoliko se koristi hrvatska čarter kompanija koja se brine o vašem plovilu koje je namijenjeno za višednevna krstarenja, tada će čarter kompanija plovilo iznajmiti gostu uz PDV od 13% a vi ćete njima poslati račun sa PDV-om od 25%.

Strani državljanin ili strana kompanija koja ostvaruje prihod u RH će isti morati registrirati u svojim poreznim knjigama u zemlji iz koje dolazi.

1. establish whether the documentation and the extent of the technical inspection comply with the requirements for the vessel with the same technical characteristics fl-ying the Croatian flag;

2. determine the authorised person which will establish, by way of inspection, whether the vessel’s equipment com-plies with the Rules for the statutory certification of yachts and boats and whether the condition of the equipment following servicing corresponds to the data in the submi-tted documents.

As a rule, the inspection will be carried out no later than prior to the commencement of the provision of charter services from the first Croatian port of departure. The exact time and place of the inspection will be arranged with the charter company.

3. If all the technical prerequisites are met, a certificate/re-cord of performed technical inspection of a yacht/boat will be issued to the vessel for economic purposes and will be valid for a year.

If the technical inspection of a foreign vessel was not carried out by the maritime administration of its flag state, the in-spection can be carried out in the Republic of Croatia by the following authorities:

1. the port authority or a local office of the port authority on whose area the boat is located - for boats;

2. the Croatian Register of Shipping in Split - for yachts.

In case of the owners of vessels or of vessels that do not ori-ginate in EU, charter services may be provided only if the hull length of such vessel is over 40 meters, and then with the special permission of the Ministry.

VAT on Charter Services

In Croatia, not only the procedure of obtaining licence for providing charter services has been changed, but also the le-gislation concerning VAT payment in case of charter services. Each charter company having its seat in one of the EU mem-bers and wishing to provide charter services in the Republic of Croatia must be registered in Croatia for the purpose of the Croatian VAT and must apply on the services provided the Croatian VAT at the rate of 13%. The registration with the VAT system is carried out by means of the form issued by the tax authorities when the personal identification number (“OIB”) for tax purposes is obtained. In case of smaller vessels that are chartered exclusive of any overnight stay, 25% VAT is paid.

If a Croatian charter company is used for the purpose of ta-king care of your boat intended for multi days cruises then such charter company will lease the boat to a guest applying 13% VAT while you will issue them the invoice that will inclu-de 25% VAT.

Foreign citizens or foreign companies generating income in the Republic of Croatia must record any such income in their tax records in their domicile countries.

Natural persons or charter companies based in the European Union may appoint a tax agent in Croatia. This is a person who files VAT returns and communicates with the tax autho-

Fizičke osobe ili čarter kompanije koje imaju sjedište u Europ-skoj uniji mogu u Hrvatskoj imenovati poreznog zastupnika. To će biti osoba koja će prijavljivati PDV i vršiti potrebnu ko-munikaciju sa poreznim organima. Porezni zastupnik može biti fizička ili pravna osoba koja nema poreznog duga kod poreznih vlasti.

Iz ovog vrlo kratko objašnjenja, vidljivo je da je danas puno jednostavnije se baviti čarter djelatnošću nego prije. Osnov-no je da je plovilo registrirano, ispravno, te da je čarter djelat-nost prijavljena i na Ministarstvu i poreznoj upravi.

Uz male troškove registracije čarter djelatnost, vlasnik si može sa tom povremenom djelatnošću smanjiti troškove plovila koji su danas vrlo visoki.

Korištenjem zakonske mogućnosti dodatne legalne zarade čarterom, imat ćemo svi koristi: vlasnik plovila, profesionalni skiperi, hrvatski budžet, turistička zajednica i općina gdje se nalazi plovilo. Naravno, ne zaboravimo i ugostitelje koji jedva čekaju nas nautičare koji smo najbolji potrošači na Jadranu.

It is observable from this brief explanation that today it is si-gnificantly easier to run charter business in Croatia than be-fore. It is crucial that a vessel is properly registered, has no defects and that the provision of charter services is reported both, to the Ministry and tax authorities.

A vessel’s owner may, bearing minor costs of charter services registration, engage in such occasional charters and signifi-cantly reduce and offset the cost of owning a vessel that have been very high today.

Using legal opportunities for earning additional legitimate money, all of us will benefit: vessel’s owners, professional ski-ppers, Croatian national budget, tourist community and mu-nicipality where such vessel is located. Of course, we should not forget restaurant owners who are looking forward to re-ceive boaters who are the best spenders at the Adriatic.

U veličanstvenoj atmosferi Dubai marine - Dubai Internatio-nal Marine Club Mina Seyahi - održano je 23. izdanje Dubai International Boat show-a.Ova prestižna manifestacija uživa veliko povjerenje i popular-nost na Bliskom istoku. Lokalni i svjetski brodograditelji pred-stavljaju publici svoja najbolja plovila i najnoviju opremu.Na Dubai Boat Show 2015 sudjelovalo je 750 kompanija iz više od 50 zemalja. Više od 450 luksuznih jahti te 25 najnovi-jih superjahti, bile su izložene u “Marina Display” zoni, eksklu-zivnom prostoru za premijerna izlaganja. Osim glamuroznih superjahti, malih i srednjih plovila, čitav niz luksuznih auto-mobila, te velik izbor opreme za sportove na vodi, očarali su tisuće posjetitelja.

In the great atmosphere of Dubai marina - Dubai International Marine Club Mina Seyahi - the 23rd edition of Dubai International Boat show took place.This boat show is the most trusted and established marine industry exhibition in the Middle East. It is a showcase of local and worldwide yacht and boat builders who bring the latest leisure boats, innovations in marine equipment and accessories. Dubai Boat Show 2015 hosted 750 companies from more than 50 countries. Over 450 luxury yachts and 25 new super yachts were exhibited in special „Marina Display“ dedicated area designed exclusively for premiere presentations. Apart from lavish superyachts, small and mid-sized boats, a line of eye-catching luxurious automobiles, watersports products and recreational marine activities fascinated thousands of visitors.

InterAdria SC tim posjetio je ovaj sajam, kako bi izlaskom iz već poznatih europskih trendova svojim idejama dao novu svježinu. Uživali smo u prezentacijama plovila, upijali atmos-feru Dubai Marine i iskoristili priliku sudjelovati na jedinstve-nom zatvaranju ove iznimne manifestacije.Do sljedećeg posjeta sajmu nastavljamo ploviti Jadranom ši-roko otvorenih jedara.

InterAdria SC team visited the show to catch some new ideas and to follow up the international trends in nautic industry beyond the European common flow. We enjoyed the boat presentations, soaked up the atmosphere of Dubai Marina, and took the opportunity to enjoy in the unique boat show closing party.We hope to come back soon. Until then we will sail the Adriatic sea with our sails wide spread.

Srednjovjekovni gradić zadivljujuće kamene ljepote smje-šten na litici obale visokoj 1�7 metara sa svojim minijatur-nim uličicama i prolazima sačuvao je svoj šarm do današ-njih dana.

Ovaj dragulj povijesne i kulturne baštine istočne Istre smje-šten je na krajnjem rubu zapadne Opatijske rivijere. Već prvi pogled, kojim je moguće obuhvatiti gotovo cijeli gradić, otkri-va vrlo zanimljivu strukturu grada koji je mogao rasti samo u visinu. Kuće su tipične za primorsku arhitekturu, a na nekima su još i danas vidljivi natpisi na glagoljici. Građene su u svoje-vrsnom akropolskom prstenu, te se čini kao da su smještene na obodu kakvog ogromnog šešira, dok čitavom strukturom dominira masivni zvonik župne crkve sv. Jurja.

Pisani tragovi o Brseču sežu u 12. Stojeće. No, ovaj kraj bio je naseljen i mnogo ranije o čemu svjedoči brdo Sisol, odno-sno prapovijesna gradina pod njim gdje su pronađeni tragovi kasnoantičkog naselja. Brojnije informacije o Brseču potječu iz prve polovice 17. stoljeća kad je nakratko bio pod vlašću Venecije, a u istom je stoljeću, zajedno s Lovranom, činio dio Pazinske grofovije.

A medieval town of breathtaking stone beauty, situated on the top of the 1�7 m high cliff, has kept its charm in mini-ature streets and passages.

The jewel of historical and cultural eastern Istrian heritage is situated on the very edge of the western Riviera of Opatija. The very first sight, which is enough to catch the scene of the almost entire town, discloses very interesting structure of the town that was able to grow only in heigth. The houses are typical for the litoral architecture, some of them still keep the trace of the glagolitic letters. The houses were built in a kind of acropolis circle, so they look like being lined up on the rim of the giant hat. The whole structure is dominated by the massive turret of local St. Juraj’s church.

Brseč can be traced in written materials that date from 12 century. However, the area had been populated much earlier, the evidence is the hill Sisol, and the prehistoric fortress that stretches underneath and where the traces of late antic polis were found. More information about Brseč can be found in documents from 17 century, when Brseč was under the Ven-ice; in the same century, together with Lovran, Brseč made part of County of Pazin.

During this period the vicar Josip Mavrović built the Mašunerije, residential building with many rooms, utilities and a loge, and renewed the parish church. Back than Brseč already had the mill for the olives.

The old town center is the part of the protected cultural heritage. The town loge is the entrance to old town where the bust of the famous Croatian writer Eugene Kumičić is ex-posed. Near the loge there is Eugen Kumičić’s house; now the house became the library and „Eugen K“ gallery where emi-nent Croatian and world known artists present their works. This is aplace where international art colony “Brseč Art“ takes place gathering numerous artists inspired by the beauty of Brseč. The central town square is dominated by Gradska šterna (town cistern), this is extremely nice part of Brseč. At the square there is also the school of Brseč, built in 1868, which had the important role in the literacy of this region.

Among the town vistas, there is slightly separated late gothic church of St. Maria Magdalena from 15 century; form there beautiful view stretches all over the islands of Cres, Unije, Su-sak, to the most southern top of Učka Sisol (835 m).

Nadomak lože nalazi se njegova rodna kuća danas pretvorena u knjižnicu i vrlo im-presivnu galeriju „Eugen K“ gdje izlažu eminentni hrvatski i strani umjetnici. Tu se održava i međunarodna umjetnička kolonija „Brseč Art“ te okuplja umjetnike koje inspirira ljepota Brseča. Središnjim gradskim trgom dominira Gradska šterna i plije-ni pozornost svojom ljepotom. Sastavni dio ovoga trga je i brsečka škola, izgrađena davne 1868. godine kao kolijevka pismenosti ovog kraja.

Među vizurama naselja pažnju privlači i pomalo izolirana ka-snogotička crkva sv. Marije Magdalene iz 15. stoljeća s koje se pruža nezaboravan pogled na otoke Cres, Unije, Susak, ali i na najjužniji vrh Učke Sisol (835 m) do kojeg vodi pješačka staza.

OKUSI MEDITERANA / FLAVOURS OF THE MEDITERRANEAN

Ovo crvenkasto voće iznimno sklatka okusa i ugodne arome već tisućljećima oduševljava nepca širom svijeta.

Trešnje su bile poznate još od 300. godine prije Krista, a po-tječu iz Male Azije.

U Europu su stigle 70-tih godina prije nove ere, a povoljna, blaga klima Hrvatskog primorja učinila je trešnje gotovo au-tohtonim voćem ovoga kraja.

Stablo trešnje može narasti i preko 10 m visine, a karakterizi-raju ga posebni bijeli i rozi skupni cvjetovi koji cvatu u rano proljeće. Iz ovih posebnih cvjetova razvijaju se ukusni crveni plodovi s karakterističnom okruglom košticom u sredini koji dozrijevaju od svibnja do kraja lipnja.

Kao i svako sezonsko voće trešnje je najbolje konzumirati ne-tom ubrane. U tom obliku su najzdravije i najviše dolaze do izražaja mnoga ljekovita svojstva ovog voća. Bogate su flavo-noidima, antioksidansima koji djeluju protuupalno, ublaža-vaju simptome alergija i astme. Trešnje su namirnica bogata prehrambenim vlaknima, pomažu kod smanjenja tjelesne težine, bogate su vitaminima i mineralima sa pozitivnim učin-kom na smanjenje kolesterola, a uz obilje vrijednih nutrijena-ta opskrbljuju tijelo i prijeko potrebnom vodom. Pomažu kod otklanjanja fizičke i umne iscrpljenosti, a kisele trešnje brzo djeluju protiv lošeg raspoloženja.

Ukoliko jedete svježe trešnje, operite ih neposredno prije po-služivanja. Možete ih umočiti u rastopljenu čokoladu i koristiti za dekoraciju slastica. Bez peteljki i koštica možete ih upotri-jebiti za pripremu slanih i slatkih jela.

The red fruit of extremely sweet taste and pleasant aroma thrills the palats around the world for thousands of years.

Cherries are known since 300 BC, and they origin from Asia Minor.

They were brought to Europe around 70 BC and due to the mild climate of the Croatian coast they became almost aut-hentic fruit in this area.

Cherry tree can grow up to 10 m in height, and the flowers that bud in early spring are in specific white and rose colour. In May and June these flowers turn into juicy red fruit with a bony core.

As with other fruits, cherries are best if eaten immediately af-ter being picked up. Then they are the most healthy. Cherries are rich with flavonoids, anti-inflammatory antioxidans, they soothe the symptoms of alergies and asthme. They are rich in fibres, reduce the cholesterole, provide body with nutritients and water. Cherries are beneficary for physical and mental exhaustion, and sour cherries have direct impact against bad mood.

If you consume fresh cherries, wash them just before being served. You can dip them into melted chocolate, or use them as cakes decoration. When boneless, cherries can be used for both sweet and salted dishes.

• 2 čaše jogurta • 2 čaše šećera • 4 čaše brašna • 1 čaša ulja • 4 jaja • 1 prašak za pecivo • 1 štapić vanilije• ½ kg očišćenih trešanja • šećer u prahu za dekoraciju

Priprema:Mikserom izmješajte jogurt, šećer, brašno, jaja, ulje, prašak za pecivo i ekstrakt vanilije u gustu jednoličnu smjesu. Ulijte ju u predhodno namašten i pobrašnjen kalup za pečenje. U kalup dodajte očišćene trešnje i stavite peći u zagrijanu pećnicu na 180⁰C. Pecite 30 minuta. Kada je kolač gotov pospite ga šećerom u prahu i poslužite.

2 cups of yogurt • 2 cups of sugar • 4 cups of flour • 1 cup of oil • 4 eggs • 1 baking powder • 1 vanilla stick • ½ kg boneless cherries •

powder sugar for decoration •

Preparation:Blend yogurt, sugar, flour, eggs, oil, baking powder and vanilla extract in thick mixture. Pour into the previously oiled and floured baking mold. Add boneless cherries and put in oven

heated at 180⁰C. Bake for 30 minutes.When the cake is ready, top it with powder sugar and serve.
